In 2014, Amir Taaki and other Bitcoin developers founded a startup called DarkMarket during a hackathon that was being held in Toronto. Later the creators abandoned the design of this prototype and re-branded it OpenBazaar.
The application allows users to buy and sell goods (including food and drinks) through a peer to peer system, using cryptocurrencies and without anyone intervening between the 2 parties involved. The details of the sale and the conversations made between users cannot be controlled by third parties.
This means that there is no censorship because the network is managed by dozens of nodes scattered around the world.
