How Bitcoin Battlefields Charts Work: Trading Will Never Be the Same Again!

If you're unfamiliar with the Bitcoin Battlefield chart, you should definitely check it out because it's a lot of fun. Be careful, this isn't a web3 game, but an analysis chart! Instead of traditional candlestick charts, it's a real-time 3D visualization of the order book, liquidations, and buying/selling pressure. The goal is to make what you'd normally see on a depth chart intuitive.

HOW THEY WORK
I used a screenshot as a reference ( Newhedge ), which shows the current price in the center (BTC/USD = $62,756.91). This is the front line; when the price rises, the Bulls advance (the front moves toward the Bears' side). When the price falls, the Bears advance, and the front retreats toward the Bulls' side.

On the sides, you'll find two huge numbers, such as Sell Wall (36.0M) and Buy Wall (45.4M). These are the number of limit orders in the order book. Essentially, the Buy Wall is people who want to buy below the price (the larger it is, the stronger the support). Sell Walls, on the other hand, are people who want to sell above the price (the larger it is, the greater the resistance). The image shown means that there is currently more liquidity ready to buy than to sell, so the market is slightly bullish. However, it does not mean that the price will definitely rise.

Walls can:
1) disappear.
2) be deleted.
3) be spoofed.
4) be eaten up by market orders.

Regarding the battlefield, the soldiers represent the strength of the two sides: Green (Bulls) and Red (Bears). The number of units depends on market pressure.

This is a new hedge image that mainly uses:
- order book.
- large trades.
- liquidations.
- price movement.

Tanks, rockets, and helicopters, on the other hand, are market events. For example, a large long liquidation explodes a Bulls base. A large short liquidation hits a Bears base. Explosions are therefore linked to real events. For example, "Liquidated Long" ($250,000) will be attacked. The larger the liquidation, the greater the graphical effect.

Current market pressure is highlighted at the top by phrases like:
"Buyers advancing" or "Sellers advancing." This is not a trading signal but a synthetic indicator constructed using:
- order book.
- trades.
- liquidations.
- price movement.

At the bottom left, you'll find the most important chart: highlighted in green and red. This is not a normal candlestick but a depth chart. The green part shows how many buy orders are below the price. The red part shows how many sell orders are above the price. If you see a very steep rise, it means there's a large wall there. If the green suddenly rises, there's massive support. If the red rises, there's massive resistance.

The Market Feed shows liquidations and other events that trigger bursts or advances in the market. If you choose "Aggregated Spot" on the left, Newhedge combines the order books from multiple exchanges to provide a broader view of liquidity.

FINAL CONSIDERATIONS
The most important are Buy Walls (identifying important support) and Sell Walls (identifying important resistance). Liquidations show where the market is "cleaning" leveraged positions. The Depth Chart highlights where liquidity is concentrated. For example, if you simultaneously observe a very large buy wall below the price, short liquidations, and the advancing Bulls, you have a consistent picture of bullish pressure in the very short term. Conversely, a significant sell wall, long liquidations, and an advancing Bears suggest bearish pressure. None of these elements, however, guarantees the next move: the order book is constantly changing, and orders can be modified or canceled in a matter of moments. Bitcoin Battlefield is a dynamic heatmap of the order book and market flows that is particularly useful for understanding where liquidity is concentrated and how the market reacts in real time, but obviously it does not generate buy or sell signals.

Besides Newhedge, there are other similar Battlefields (with slight differences): BitcoinBattlefield and Rektfield.
