The World Cup and also the Sorare Global Cup have come to an end. I support England and this time too it didn't go as I hoped but we'll see at the next European/World Cup. On Sorare it was a tournament full of prizes in ETH, NFT, official jerseys and even a live experience with Zinedine Zidane. I had created a private league where I would reward the top 5 with 5 NFT Polygon. The top 5 in the standings (H.Maguire Fans) can leave their nick Sorare and their 0x address (Metamask or Trust Wallet, no exchange) below in the comments, so I will send 1 free NFT on the Polygon network.

Now that the World Cup is over, national common cards will be converted into club common cards or players of equal value (if not supported by Sorare).

For example if you have:
-K.Mbappè (France) --> K.Mbappè (PSG)
-H.Kane (England) --> XXX (YYY)

If the player is supported you will get him with his club shirt (Mbappè-PSG). If it is not supported (Kane, De Bruyne and almost all Premier League players) you will get a player of equal value. I remind you that common cards allow you to participate in the common (free) league through which you could win common or limited cards (these are real NFT that can be sold). At least 5 Limited cards allow you to participate in better tournaments so you can win limited cards and always have a stronger roster.
For example, with Limited card it is also possible to win prizes in ETH (every 3 days):

The big news is that thresholds have also been added for all rarities (limited, rare, super rare, unique). It doesn't matter if you finish in the top 10 or top 100, if you score 250 you will be entitled to prizes in ETH. The common card obviously have no thresholds.
This is the new threshold regulation:

It doesn't matter your position in the leaderboard, if you score at least 250 points you will win ETH which will be credited to your account.
I remind you that by registering on Sorare you will receive common cards, if you then win 5 auctions (even for a few dollars), you can have a limited card for free. If you are already registered, you have 150 days from the day of registration to win the 5 auctions. After 150 days, you will no longer receive the limited card for signup.

-NBA
-MLB

As you know I am very active in Sorare MLB where last year I won over 30 cards. However, when I invited friends, I set the NBA prize because the tournament, having started for a short time, has on average higher card values than MLB and Football. I got as a ref reward D.Garland:

As you can see it has a very good resale value on the secondary market (cards sold by other managers), the minimum price is around $45 which is absolutely not bad. If you are not interested, you can sell your ref prize, get ETH, withdraw it or invest it in Football or MLB.

I of course am looking forward to the new MLB season (April 2023) with great anticipation. In the meantime I'm participating in Football and NBA tournaments but the priority remains Baseball. For the moment this is my card situation on Sorare:

In MLB I'm in an optimal situation because I already have a fairly complete roster. The card accumulation phase ended in those few months of last season. Next year I can start selling all the rewards (weekly rewards that I win that I don't need). Obviously I will not sell players that I consider important to continue playing in the following years!
