Manage and trade your cryptocurrencies on Binance directly from the Brave Browser.
On Tuesday, March 24, 2020, Brave, announced a partnership with Binance (the largest cryptocurrency exchange in the world by trading volume) that will enable users of Brave Browser to trade directly on Binance using a new Binance Widget to be integrated in the browser and made available to the public effective April 2020.
The Binance Widget to be integrated into the Brave browser will enable users to manage their cryptocurrencies directly from the browser.
Available services include buying, depositing, trading, and viewing trading and transaction summaries. More so, users will be able to trade cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin, Ethereum, Ripple, Litecoin, and many others that are supported by Binance.
This makes Brave the only browser that offers direct integration with a leading exchange to bring trading functionality to it’s currently over 13 million users.
As always, Brave takes your privacy seriously. The Widget is built as part of Brave Browser rather than an externally generated iframe, thus ensuring maximum protection of the user’s privacy.
According to the announcement, the Binance widget will be enabled by default. However, users can turn it off and hide it through the settings if they wish.
“Cryptocurrency trading can be a daunting task for users not familiar with such assets, so integrating Binance into the Brave browser makes the process seamless and simple, … By bringing a leading exchange like Binance directly into the browser, Brave is taking cryptocurrency trading mainstream and enabling users to conduct transactions with ease.” ~Brendan Eich, CEO and co-founder of Brave.
Currently, this service is being tested in the Brave Nightly Build on the desktop and is scheduled to be realized to the general public sometime in April (next month).
NOTE: Brave Nightly build is the developer and testing version of Brave that is updated every night prior to being shipped to the public. If you like to get your hands dirty and doesn’t mind the usual bugs and crashes you may download it and be part of the testers of new releases before they’re made public.
The Binance Widget will only be available on the Brave Desktop with the Mobile version to be announced at later date.
“The Binance widget on Brave’s privacy-oriented browser instills a safer way to buy and sell crypto and also reduces user friction to onboard, trade and interact with the Binance ecosystem, … We are looking forward to our long-term partnership with Brave to make it even easier to interact with crypto and encourage more utility in the near future.” ~Binance CEO Changpeng Zhao (‘CZ’).
The Future Outlook of Brave
The future does look really bright for Brave and all stakeholders. Brendan Eich, the CEO confirmed to Cointelegraph that “Brave has looked into the possibility of extending Brave into other areas, like messaging and operating systems for smartphones and computers”
