I thought a long time about it if I should write this post or not. I decided to do so because writing about the things bothering me also helps me to deal with them better. It is some kind of self-therapy.

However, before I start ranting, I also like to point out that I had a really good start with ChangeNOW. It started when they were doing an AMA here on Publish0x in March 2020. You can still find the post here: ChangeNOW AMA

I was lucky to win some NOW tokens in this AMA and they also send me the tokens after the AMA was finished.

This is how it should work when you are publicly announced as a winner. At some point, you'll receive the promised prize.

Also, the content that ChangeNOW provides here on Publish0x is very good and I also like to read their blog posts. That was a great start.

I was so happy that I won something in this AMA that I joined their social media channels including Telegram right away.

When I joined their Telegram channel, I felt very comfortable there because not only the admins were super nice and friendly but you could also have great conversations about all kinds of crypto-related topics.

In June 2020, they started a raffle called community force that required you to be active in their Telegram group.

At the beginning of July 2020, the winners had been announced and I was, as you can imagine, super happy to see that I was on the winner's list.

I send my shipping details to the admin but then everything went down. For some reason, they kicked out many of their former staff members like Jeremy who announced the winners and was responsible for marketing.

They told me that it will take some time because they have to print the T-shirts first.

After several months of waiting, at the beginning of this year, I reached out to Pauline Shangett and she promised me to take care of my T-Shirt personally. She even said that she will put some ChangeNOW socks on top because I was already waiting so long.

Well, I still have received nada, zero, nothing.

However, this is something that absolutely doesn't work. If a company announced winners publicly, then it is simply a question of honor that the announced winners receive their prizes. That's why I decided to make this public after many failed attempts of reaching out to them.

I tried several times to talk with them but they just do not give a f*

Pauline Shangett's last response was: "Oh man, are you still going on with that T-shirt?"

Honestly, guys, that is an absolute cheek!

It is sad as I really liked ChangeNOW but since they ChangedNOW their staff, things went down the rabbit hole.

That's my story with ChangeNOW now in short and I already feel it. Writing about this issue really helps me to deal with the situation in some way.

Now imagine that you had been announced a winner by a big cryptocurrency company but never receive your prize. Even after several attempts of reaching out to them ... nothing. It got even worse as more broken promises came on top.

By the way, the first Crypto T-shirt that I ever received is the one from CoinGecko. It came on the 24th of December 2020. 🙂
