Splinterlands Economy - SPS close to ATLow!

For any user within the ecosystem of the web3 card game known as Splinterlands, the current situation is quite complicated and must be addressed seriously, as the situation demands. Just as it's important to highlight the positive aspects, the overall scenario must be considered in the analysis to understand what might be negatively impacting the Splinterlands game economy.

First, it's worth contextualizing the current situation of Splinterlands and a bit of its history. Splinterlands is a game that had its peak in terms of player numbers, transactions, and item trading a few years ago. With the arrival of Bearmarket, the game steadily lost players, and as more decisions were made, the feeling was that the community was becoming increasingly divided. Some were in favor and others against, and over time, without the arrival of new players, the community began to think almost as a unified whole, since the vast majority of proposals that arrive for analysis in the game's DAO system end up passing through without many problems.

Just as in life it's good to have an opinion contrary to your own so that the group can find the best path through debate, in a DAO that controls what happens or doesn't happen in Splinterlands, it wouldn't be any different. When most users think the same way, the collective can move towards success, always making the best decisions that greatly increase the project's value, since everyone always chooses the best option, or contrary opinions may end up being forgotten.

There's a story that I don't remember exactly how it went, but it was about the tenth participant. In a group of 10 people, there's always a tenth person who disagrees with the majority. This person is crucial because they make the other 9 re-evaluate their decisions; even if the other 9 are right, the tenth participant will make them think again. With the SPS token reaching All Time Low once more, might it be the right time to reassess the route and call on this tenth participant with differing opinions?

I'll be much appreaciated if you VotesReblogs or give any Tips. Thanks and have good reading! 🍀

The State of the Splinterlands Economy

The DAO and the players will need to make a major decision about the future of Splinterlands, regarding the game's development. In a recent proposal, the team responsible for the game's development asked the DAO for millions, which is about $5,500 per day, so that they can continue updating and maintaining the game, and transfer the rights to the Splinterlands brand to the DAO.

I have no idea if these figures are correct or not, but I would like to mention the state of the game's economy. For these amounts to be paid, it's very likely that the DAO will have to divest its most liquid assets, such as the cryptocurrencies with the highest market cap, leaving them with only Splinterlands' assets. If the game doesn't recoup the investment in 1-2 years, they will be left without capital, unless they use Splinterlands' assets, which are currently approaching their All Time Low, in the case of SPS which is trading at $0.004. In any case, it seems like a situation that will either work out very well or could lead to complications in the future.

I think that regardless of the proposal that will be debated, and the new developments that will arrive, this issue should be analyzed with greater urgency. Tokenomics is one of the pillars of a web 3 game; without it, the game will be like any other web 2 game that has much more investment, without the differentiating factor of tokenization, monetizing time and item ownership with NFTs. What will make the game unique?

It's a very complicated situation, I'd love to have a solution, but I don't. It's easy to complain without having another option, but I think it's important to pay attention to the game's economy before there's nothing left to decide. In that sense, some interesting data is that in Coingecko, the trading volume of SPS on Pancakeswap is less than $4000 and the trading volume of cards in the game is between $2000 and $4000.
