This new partnership allows you to trade crypto directly from the Brave Browser! What a great idea. I haven't been able to try it yet because at the moment I'm on my phone and it isn't yet available on Android. When I get home I will try it (Beta mode) on my laptop.
In the upcoming release there will be a Binance Branded widget directly below the Brave Rewards widget. You wil be able to trade more than just BAT with the new widget - Bitcoin, XRP, Ethereum, Litecoin and others.
The new widget isn't just an embedded Binance widget, it's a native widget that takes advantage of Binance's API. When you connect with the widget, you will be able to see your assets on Binance, see the balances and addresses and actually buy and sell crypto.
If you're not into crypto or you don't want to take advantage of this new feature, it will not invoke the API and no data will be downloaded. You can also disable the widget from within the browser settings.
You can beta test the new widget by by following the link to Brave's nightly release for desktop.
Brave's focus on security and data protection has given it this unique opportunity to be the first browser chosen to enable trading directly from within the browser.
Cryptocurrency trading can be a daunting task for users not familiar with such assets, so integrating Binance into the Brave browser makes the process seamless and simple. By bringing a leading exchange like Binance directly into the browser, Brave is taking cryptocurrency trading mainstream and enabling users to conduct transactions with ease."

CZ, the CEO of Binance had this to say.
The Binance widget on Brave’s privacy-oriented browser instills a safer way to buy and sell crypto and also reduces user friction to onboard. We are looking forward to our long-term partnership with Brave to make it even easier to interact with crypto and encourage more utility in the near future.”
