There is a big update coming soon to Warsaken, the WAX-based card game that has remained a popular favorite during its multi-year development process. This will officially mark Warsaken moving out of beta.
Here are five specific things I'm especially looking forward to with this as it pertains to Warsaken Blitz:
1. Turn Timer
Blitz is tremendous fun, but you are vulnerable if your opponent goes AFK. This is especially true if you're livestreaming and trying to keep the pace going. And pacing is vital to successful livestreaming.
The turn timer will fix this problem. Going AFK means taking Ls! Which leads me to...
2. Wins and Losses Mattering
We've been stuck in an endless preseason for years now, particularly in the more than 18 months since I won the BluMint Warsaken Grand Slam Championship.
Starting with the first season of war, which Warsaken outlined in a video last year, there will be a ranking system to rate player performance in PvP matches.
3. Auto-Matchmaking
The biggest stopper for me with Warsaken is not having people available to play. The current matchmaking system is beyond subpar. Having to go ask in Discord is very amateurish, plus it brings things to a screeching halt. Having to play your audience can be fun but only if there are people there wanting to play.
It's also not scalable, as evidenced during the 2023 Black Friday Spectacular when I had 26 viewers wanting to play me at the same time. The names cut off after 21 spots as I didn't think more than 20 would be realistic. And yet: 
4. Alliances
I'll be recruiting players to join my forthcoming alliance (likely to be limited to 10 spots) once the new update is here. You can be brand new to Warsaken, but if you're in my alliance, you get access to borrowing my cards for games.

5. Return to Regular Warsaken Streaming
Blitz is great fun to play and livestream and I have so many ideas for it. 30 years in broadcasting and I've learned some things along the way.
