Don't ever make these mistakes that I seem to continue making.
You cannot force the market to do anything, so "placing bets" on market moves is just stupid. You should always be in a position where you'll be ok no matter what the market does. When profits show up, you just take them. If you are in a loss, you dollar cost average down until the market swings back. Simple.
If you are ever in a position where the market has to do something for you to profit, get out of that position immediately. Especially if you have to take an immediate loss. Because you know what? That loss is about to get bigger if you don't sell.
Do not listen to shills like Ivan on Tech, Bitboy or Elliotrades. They are all doing things that would be illegal in traditional finance. They are just guys who got lucky in 2017 like Mark Cuban got lucky in 1999. They don't know anything; they just have connections with developers to get information first. They use that access to buy in early and dump on you.
Overextending on a single position is never good. Especially when the move seems like a no-brainer. The purpose of the market is to make the most people look the most stupid all the time.
Don't listen to idiots bragging about their wins in Telegram. Guaranteed they aren't as rich as they say they are, because they don't talk about their losses. Listening to them or worse, asking their advice, is an easy way to lose a lot of money quickly.
The pump and dump degen era of 2017 is OVER. The 100X projects of the future will be the ones with use cases, not these stupid financial experiments. There is no such thing as a "low cap gem" any more. Projects with a chance of success are getting funded through traditional VCs before they ever have their private sales. These college dorm room experiments can't compete even if they are good (which they aren't).
Know your trading style. You can't switch from being a trader to being a hodler just because you got left holding a bag. If you exercise a bad trading move, get out of the trade. Take the loss. If you don't, that loss will only get bigger and keep you up at night.
Let the market do the work. The number one goal right now is to accumulate.
If you must trade, don't get greedy. Take some meat off the bone and put the winnings into a solid project. If you leave some money on the table, fine. There's plenty to go around in crypto right now. There may not be later, but there is now.
Take the easy trades. Trading isn't difficult. If you have to start doing calculus to eek some profit out of a trade, it's not worth it. Crypto is still a market where simple trades can make you a 2X.
Until further notice, Burgerswap and Defichain are scams to fucking steal your crypto.
Projects with overly complex tokenomics like Reflect.finance and Empty Set Dollar are just ponzis. You have to get in early, go big, and get out fast to get profits. Otherwise, YOU LOSE. All of that other bullshit they put in their whitepapers is just financial masturbation. All of their fucking charts look the fucking same — pump, dump, death — no matter what shitistics and crapulus they try to apply.
There. Hopefully I come back to this and read it every day I feel like making a stupid move.
