The new John McAfee documentary leaves us with more unknowns than revelations.

John McAfee is the founder of the antivirus company McAfee, a software that comes pre-installed on every computer in the world.
The company was sold for 7000 million dollars, there is no precise information on how much money John received, but he was a man capable of buying and giving yachts, vehicles, houses, making moves that normal people would only do in dreams, but he was also a man capable of living experiences that normal people only live in nightmares.

Everyone who has access to a computer knows the name McAfee and those of us in the cryptocurrency world have heard him mentioned on some YouTube channel, probably on news channels.

The new Netflix documentary shows us more about the life of this eccentric billionaire who at the age of seventy is on the run around the world, accused of murder in Belize, tax fraud in the United States with an international arrest warrant, and allegedly being pursued by drug cartels, security agencies, governments, etc.

Who was John McAfee? a madman? a paranoid? a bored billionaire? someone who knew too much? did he really have valuable information about something? or was he just someone who wanted to get attention?
At the age of sixty, seventy years to lead a life like that, it really seems enviable, there are people who have worked all their lives and at sixty-five can not even walk or are afraid to go out into the world and this guy is walking with women thirty, forty years younger than him, buying yachts, houses, cars, staying in four, five star hotels in countries all over the planet, maybe they were really after him for something, tax evasion, maybe, drugs and weapons in the hands of a completely crazy guy, yes, that is definitely very dangerous, but beyond that you see an old man wanting to feel alive, surrounding himself with hired people, spending money in incredible amounts, consuming all kinds of drugs, living in paradisiacal places.

Does the documentary show anything new?
No. Beyond wanting to show us an action movie character, it doesn't show us who this guy really was.
How long were the documentary makers with John?
Did he do nothing at all?
Was he just running away?
What was he running from?
From phone calls?
From one hotel to another?
They were never with John to talk or see what he was working on or what kind of information he was getting or how he was getting the information?
This documentary/film for hire shows nothing, you simply get to see a seventy year old man getting high from the time he wakes up, surrounded by hired help, smoking and drinking alcohol until he falls asleep again. All this adorned with the eccentricities of someone who has a lot of money and wants to spend it attracting attention, looking for a little love, wanting to have friends, even though it is all artificial, you can see a lonely, sad man, who knows he is old.

In theory, John McAfee is/was a person who supposedly is very intelligent, a computer genius, who has access to confidential information, the only thing we are shown is an old person, very badly asleep, after a hangover, surrounded by people waiting for a couple of bills.

Point of view.
A person with a lot of money, having a life of luxury and eccentricities in Milan does not attract attention, because it is a city where there are many people with great purchasing power, in Latin America in regions where there is extreme poverty, surrounded by weapons, drugs, prostitutes, definitely DOES attract attention and everyone will want a little money, from the police, politicians, journalists looking for a story or people who simply see a gringo, alone, drunk, giving away money.

A scene of extreme danger was when John, drunk, with a drink in one hand and the gun in another asks his girlfriend if she wants him to kill the cameraman, you can feel Robert King's fear when he runs out and leaves in his car.

How to get yourself hunted down in the vast majority of countries in the world:
- Kill another human being.
- Carrying weapons of war.
- Possessing large quantities of prohibited drugs.
- Not paying taxes.
- Crossing borders from one country to another without going through customs.
That is all that this documentary about John McAfee shows us.
