Today I will be doing a write-up on the latest NFT I have been working on as part of my Abstract Collection. It is a piece I have titled Autumn 2 Winter, basing it on the time of year we are currently at.
Idea's Behind the Piece
Basically, my inspiration for this piece has been the world around me. Watching the trees turn orange, losing their leaves, and finally the darkening hours of the day with the potential of a white Christmas. At first, I considered making just individual images, or possibly even some photographs to capture the time, but in the end, I decided my best course of action was to make a timelapse fade from one season into the next.
How I Created It
The piece is a video basically fading from an autumn landscape into a winter-filled one. I set the original scene as a basic landscape layout narrowing into a tree and deep-seeded valley. I utilized that piece and created different seasonal themed images through the help of Deep Dream Generator, a piece I wrote about here: https://www.publish0x.com/cryptogod-1/nfts-deep-dream-generator-xwwvmrx
Once I had the images I needed, it was time to make it a video. The easiest way I found of doing this was by making it into a GIF. Through using the EZgif website I was able to create my final piece, and after much tuning and optimizing, it was just right.
Collection Size & Giveaway
Up to now, I have been doing giveaways with the works from my Abstract collection, with the first piece, Multicolour Fusion seeing all 100 pieces given away, and the second, Multicolour Fade, having 75/100 pieces given away.
For my Autumn 2 Winter NFT, seeing as it is an animated piece and possibly one of my more interesting pieces, I have decided to make it a three part collection, There will be the Autumn NFT, the Winter NFT, and the centrepiece, Autumn2Winter NFT. Both the Autumn and Winter ones will be part of a giveaway, seeing 50/100 from each given away from the collection. The rest will be put on sale on Opensea once the free ones have been sent out.
As for the Autumn2Winter NFT, I plan on making 50 versions of it. As part of the giveaway, 10 lucky winners from the Autumn and Winter NFTs will also be gifted a free copy of the animated Autumn2Winter NFT. The remaining 40 will then be placed on sale on Opensea.
