I hope you are all having a nice week. Welcome to cryptogod-1’s blog on all things sports. Today I will be looking at how the AFCON tournament has gone so far, with the recent Semi Final matches complete, only the Final and Third Place play off are left for this weekend.

Semi Final Results
The semi finals saw four thrilling teams battling it out for a place in Sundays final. Hosts Cameroon have entertained their home fans so far and have the two top scorers in the tournament. Their match with Egypt was a close encounter, going into extra time and all the way to penalties. Egypt manager Carlos Queiroz was sent off for dissent, but when it came to the shootout the Egyptians stepped up. Cameroon looked tame and had two penalties saved while their final one was struck wide. Salah didn't even need to take his, showing the strength and determination of the Egyptian side.
Senegal put in a great performance against Burkina Faso, with Sadio Mané showing why he is so idolised in that football fanatic country. Having gotten to the final and lost to Algeria last time, this could be the year Senegal go all the way. The final twenty minutes is where this game came alive, as Mané provided an assist and then scored a beautiful counter attacking goal as he run through and lobbed the keeper. That goal, the third and the goal which ended the tie, came about after a horrible mismatch in the middle of the field where one Burkina Faso player slipped and ended up tackling his team mate, giving the ball to Senegal.

Final & Third Place Play-Off Draw
Below is the fixtures and dates of the Third Place play-off game and of course the Final. The final will see two of Liverpool's superstars battling it out to become champions of Africa.
Third Place Play off:
Burkina Faso vs Cameroon - Sat 5th February 19:00 (UK Time)
Final:
Senegal vs Egypt - Sunday 6th February 19:00 (UK Time)
