Today I will be looking at how the AFCON tournament has gone so far, with the recent Round of 16 tie finished and the Quarter Finals starting soon. Round of 16 Results

We had some very thrilling games in the round of 16, which saw more Giant Killers with Guinea eliminated, an outfield player playing in goal for Comoros during the entire match due to all three of their goalkeepers being injured or having Covid-19, and unfortunately a horror story as eight fans got killed in a stampede outside the ground of the host nation's, Cameroon, game. The Senegal game saw a horrific clash of heads between the goalkeeper and Saido Mané, although Mané stayed on the field and scored before eventually being taken off and brought to hospital. Egypt managed to got through on penalties after Eric Bailly took a short run up and lacked any real power or effort with his shot, costing his team a chance of progression.
