SPS Up 84% in a Month! And DEC is Close to Its Peg

Less than two weeks ago I published a post pointing out how the DEC/SPS exchange rate was, at that time, particularly appealing...

... and I couldn’t have known just how true that was!

With the announcement of the upcoming release of the Conclave Arcana set, which I talked about in this other post, the market went crazy, and the value of the SPS token started rising very quickly!

Compared to a month ago, SPS has increased in value by 84%, with a spike in its price that coincided almost exactly with the announcement of the Conclave Arcana release date.

This shows the huge interest the community has in this set, which promises to bring lots of new features both in terms of gameplay (new abilities and mechanics) and collectable cards (new foils, Black and Arcane).

Players and investors alike will have plenty to enjoy, and the positive market trend reflects this.

SPS... but also DEC!

The increase in value also affected Splinterlands’ stablecoin, the DEC token, whose value is getting closer and closer to the peg.

Reaching the peg would be a huge achievement, opening the way for the mechanism known as the flywheel, which lies at the core of the relationship between SPS and DEC and allows the former to be burned in order to obtain the latter.

So far, the flywheel has only worked on a few occasions and only for short periods, and it would be great if this time it could finally be fully activated.

The only downside to this situation... is that I wish I had bought more SPS 🤣

The DEC/SPS exchange rate is already much less favorable than it was two weeks ago.

This will significantly slow down my SPS accumulation strategy, although maybe I’ll still manage to reach my goal of 10,000 SPS staked by the end of the month.

Of course, right now I wish I already had many more… but even so, I’m satisfied and I hope that Conclave Arcana will mark the beginning of another golden age for Splinterlands.

I arrived during the peak of Splinterlands' success 4 years ago, and it would be really nice to experience such a moment in person this time.

Not that my assets are enough to make me hope for any crazy heights — in terms of monetary value — but it would still be extremely satisfying to find myself with an account worth, maybe, a few thousand dollars... or am I getting carried away? 🤣

SPS Aumentato dell'84% in un Mese! E DEC è Vicino al Suo Peg

Meno di due settimane fa ho pubblicato un post in cui segnalavo come il cambio DEC/SPS fosse, in quel momento, particolarmente conveniente...

... e non potevo sapere quanto ciò fosse vero!

Con l'annuncio dell'imminente rilascio del set Conclave Arcana, di cui ho parlato in quest'altro post, il mercato è impazzito ed il vero del token SPS ha cominciato a salire molto velocemente!

Rispetto ad un mese fa, infatti, il valore di SPS è aumentato del 84%, con una impennata nel suo prezzo che è coincisa più o meno proprio con l'annuncio della data di uscita del set Conclave Arcana.

Ciò a dimostrazione dell'enorme interesse che la community ha per questo set, che si preannuncia ricco di novità sia a livello di gameplay (nuove abilità e meccaniche) che di carte collezionabili (nuove foil, Black ed Arcane).

Giocatori ed investitori avranno di che divertirsi ed il trend positivo del mercato è un riflesso di questo fatto.

SPS... ma anche DEC!

L'aumento di valore ha coinvolto anche la stablecoin di Splinterlands, ossia il token DEC, che vede il suo valore avvicinarsi sempre più al peg.

Raggiungere il peg sarebbe un grandissimo traguardo, che aprirebbe la strada a quel meccanismo, noto come flywheel, che si trova al cuore del rapporto tra SPS e DEC e che consente di bruciare il primo per ottenere il secondo.

Ad oggi la flywheel ha funzionato solo in pochissime occasioni e per breve momenti e sarebbe bello se stavolta, invece, si riuscisse a farla entrare pienamente in funzione.

L'unica conseguenza negativa di questa situazione... è che vorrei aver acquistato più SPS 🤣

Il cambio DEC/SPS è infatti già molto meno conveniente di quanto non fosse due settimane fa.

Questo comporterà un notevole rallentamento nella mia strategia di accumulo del token SPS, anche se, forse, riuscirò comunque a raggiungere il mio obiettivo di 10.000 SPS in stake prima della fine del mese.

Ovviamente in questo momento mi sarebbe piaciuto possederne già molti di più... ma già così sono comunque soddisfatto e spero che Conclave Arcana dia il via ad un altro periodo d'oro per Splinterlands.

4 anni fa sono arrivato all'apice del successo di Splinterlands e sarebbe davvero bello, questa volta, vivere di persona un momento del genere.

Non che i miei assets siano tali da farmi sperare di poter raggiungere chissà quali vette - in termini di valore monetario - ma comunque sarebbe estremamente soddisfacente ritrovarmi con un account dal valore, magari, di qualche migliaio di dollari... o forse sto esagerando? 🤣
