Should I Sell (Almost) All my Cards?

The title is intentionally a bit provoking (although, in line with my calm nature, I couldn't help but include that "almost " 😂), and it actually hints to a thought that has been floating around my head for quite some time and the last expression of which can be found in this post published a couple of weeks ago.

Indeed, my fixed nail on Splinterlands is now quite obvious: I want to play in the Gold League. I may have been repeating and reiterating it over and over again, anyone who stops by to take a peek at my posts is surely starting to get bored with it, but truth is that this goal is becoming a kind of obsession. Nothing to worry about, it's a game, but still, every time I start thinking about Splinterlands, I inevitably find myself thinking about this damn Gold League.

Moreover, since I have been able to experience first-hand the rewards of the higher Leagues thanks to NFTy Arcade, this thought has become even more urgent: the idea of playing a lower League (like the Silver one) is now so intolerable to me that I would rather not play and be satisfied only with the modest income I get from my card rentals.

In short, the whole thing right now has reached such a dead-end point that over and over again I find myself considering the necessity of taking some measure that would really be drastic and, potentially, resolving.

Potentially because the underlying issue is that, because of my limited finances on Splinterlands, I am not in the least sure that there is any road that actually can lead me to the desired outcome: it may be that any road is still not enough to bring me to the Gold League...

And this is exactly why, in these days, I am giving some serious considerations to the option of playing the all-or-nothing card: the "do or die."

So what is that path? The title says it all: selling all the cards I own, except those few that are already at the level I need, and reinvesting all of it in fewer cards, but bringing them exactly where I need them.

To be clear, I would need cards:

• common at level 6
• rare at level 5
• epic at level 3/4
• legendary at level 2/3

Surely there could be some exceptions here and there, but roughly the goal would be that.

The problem is that by selling almost everything I have I should raise about $320, perhaps even a little less, and with this budget what could I do?

For sure I would have to focus on just a few elements, but which ones? And most importantly, will that money be enough to complete at least 2 of them? Because to have less than that would mean losing a ton of games just because I would literally have no cards to deploy....

Of course, I would focus only on the Chaos Legion expansion, with the cards in the Rewards set representing instead that one hundred dollars worth of cards that I would not sell, because they are already sufficiently upgraded.

It's a tricky situation, very little I can do about it, and I would need the skill and coldness in investment of @libertycrypto27 to have some confidence in what I should do.

So I keep rolling this one question over and over in my mind, doing math and making guesses, but the answer is elusive and, perhaps, the only way I can find it is to hold my breath, jump into the void and hope I do not find myself with my ass on the ground!

Dovrei Vendere (Quasi) Tutte le mie Carte?

Il titolo è volutamente un po' provocatorio (anche se, in linea con il mio carattere pacato, non ho potuto fare a mano di inserire quel "quasi" 😂), e allude in realtà ad un pensiero che, ormai, mi frulla per la testa da diverso tempo e la cui ultima espressione può già essere ritrovata in quest'altro post pubblicato un paio di settimane fa.

Il mio chiodo fisso su Splinterlands, infatti, è ormai abbastanza evidente: voglio giocare nella Lega Gold. L'avrò ripetuto e ribadito in tutte le salse, chi passa a dare una sbirciatina ai miei post sicuramente comincerà ad esserne annoiato, ma la verità è che questo traguardo sta diventando una sorta di fissazione. Niente di preoccupante, si tratta pur sempre di un gioco, ma comunque ogni volta che penso a Splinterlands, inevitabilmente mi ritrovo a pensare a questa maledetta Lega Gold.

Da quando, poi, grazie a NFTy Arcade ho potuto provare con mano le ricompense delle Leghe più elevate, questo pensiero è diventato ancora più pressante: l'idea di giocare ad una Lega più bassa (come quella Argento) mi è ormai così insopportabile che preferisco non giocare e tirare avanti solo grazie ai modesti introiti derivanti dal noleggio delle mie carte.

Insomma, la situazione in questo momento è arrivata ad un punto talmente morto che sempre più spesso mi ritrovo a riflettere sulla necessità di adottare un qualche provvedimento che sia davvero drastico e, potenzialmente, risolutivo.

Potenzialmente perchè il problema di base è che, a causa delle mie ridotte finanze su Splinterlands, non sono minimamente sicuro che ci sia una strada che effettivamente possa condurmi al risultato ambito: può darsi che qualsiasi strada sia comunque insufficiente a farmi arrivare, in qualche modo, alla Lega Gold...

Ed è proprio per questo che, in questi giorni, sto seriamente prendendo in considerazione la possibilità di giocarmi la carta del tutto per tutto, della serie "o la va, o la spacca".

Qual è questa strada? Il titolo credo la dica tutta: vendere tutte le carte che possiedo, eccetto quelle poche che già sono a livello di cui ho bisogno, e reinvestire tutto quanto in un minor numero di carte, ma portandole esattamente dove mi serve.

Per intendersi, avrei bisogno di carte:

• comuni al livello 6
• rare al livello 5
• epiche al livello 3/4
• leggendarie al livello 2/3

Sicuramente qui e là potrebbero esserci delle eccezioni, ma grossomodo l'obiettivo sarebbe questo.

Il problema è che vendendo quasi tutto quello che ho dovrei racimolare circa 320 dollari, forse anche qualcosa meno, e con questo budget cosa riuscirei a fare?

Di certo dovrei concentrarmi solo su alcuni elementi, ma quali? E, soprattutto, basteranno quei soldi a completarne almeno 2? Perchè averne meno di così vorrebbe dire perdere una marea di partite soltanto perchè non avrei letteralmente nessuna carta da schierare...

Ovviamente mi concentrerei solo sull'espansione Chaos Legion, con le carte del set Rewards che costituiscono invece quel centinaio di dollari di carte che non venderei, perchè già sufficientemente potenziate.

E' una situazione complicata, c'è poco da fare, e mi servirebbe avere l'abilità e la freddezza negli investimenti di @libertycrypto27 per avere una qualche certezza sul da farsi.
