Eight HPUD of 2023!

Months pass quickly and, almost without realising it, we are already at the eighth Hive Power Up Day of this 2023: exactly one year ago my journey on Hive began, although I had already registered almost a year earlier but, for various reasons, I had barely touched it until August 2022.

In comparison to the 50 HP I had at the time, today my account can boast the beauty of almost 3900 HP: that would be more than 4100 if I were to take into account the liquid Hive that I keep aside, and even more if I were to also convert the 20 or so HBDs that I have accumulated in the savings.

When I look back at where I was a year ago, the results achieved so far seem absolutely unbelievable and completely out of my reach.... and yet here I am, with over $1500 earned in a year, and that is without considering all the level 2 tokens I own (SPS, DBLN, PIMP and LEO first and foremost) and the assets I own on the various #Play2Earn games that run on Hive, like Splinterlands, Serfdom&Sorcery, WrestlingOrganizationOnline and Muterra.

If I had been counting every single penny I wouldn't be surprised to get over $2000... and - having started from scratch - I'd say that's just insane.

Which other platform on earth allows a regular person, without any particular talent in writing and without any followers, to earn $2000 in a year just by writing about what they like and engaging with people who have similar interests?

During this year I didn't have to do anything boring or repetitive (other than playing Splinterlands maybe 😂), I didn't have to 'force' myself to do things I didn't feel like doing: I just organised my time in such a way that I had 6-7 hours to spend on Hive over the course of a whole week, spread out over the times when it was most convenient for me, and I then consistently and diligently stuck to this schedule, readjusting it every week to the other tasks that daily life put in front of me (starting with a full-time job, which takes up tons of energy and time).

With only that and nothing more, it was possible to build something on Hive that I could not have done anywhere else.

My time, energy and effort have yielded tangible fruits in the form of bonds with real people - talking to each other from behind a screen does not make each of us less real - and actual earnings: not just something with a hypothetical value, but a token that can be exchanged at any time for real money and spent in everyday life.

When I think about all this, it seems almost impossible to me that the whole world doesn't keep its eyes on Hive: if people were thinking more with their minds, getting informed and following less the trends of the moment or the advice of people who only have their own interests in mind, Hive would be flooded every day with new users from every corner of the world.

Hive is a cutting-edge social network (text, video, images, microblogging, nothing is missing), a trading (DEXs, Liquidity Pools, Savings) and gaming platform (Splinterlands, to name the most famous, and dozens of other games, ranging from RPGs to FPSs, via Farming and TCGs), without a single fee and almost instantaneous transactions. ... and much more is continuously being developed to enrich this chain and make it even more versatile, powerful, flexible and fast.

Recently there has been talk about an everything app (cough cough Twitter cough cough) and it makes me smile when I think that Hive has already been the universal app for years... and hardly anyone has noticed it yet! I wonder if sooner or later the world will wake up and we forerunners might be smiling as we think about how Hive's journey has finally just begun.

Ottavo HPUD del 2023!

I mesi passano veloci e, senza quasi accorgercene, eccoci arrivati già all'ottavo Hive Power Up Day di questo 2023: esattamente un anno fa iniziava il mio percorso su Hive, sulla quale mi ero già registrato quasi un anno prima ma che, per vari motivi, avevo praticamente ignorato fino ad Agosto 2022.

Rispetto ai 50 HP che avevo all'epoca, oggi il mio account può contare sulla bellezza di quasi 3900 HP: che sarebbero oltre 4100 se considerassi gli Hive liquidi che tengo da parte, ed ancora di più se convertissi anche la 20ina di HBD che ho accumulato nella funzione savings.

Se ripenso a dove ero un anno fa, i risultati raggiunti sino ad oggi sembrano assolutamente impossibili e completamente fuori dalla mia portata... eppure eccomi qua, con oltre 1500 dollari guadagnati in un anno e, ciò, senza contare tutti i token di secondo livello che possiedo (SPS, DBLN, PIMP e LEO in primis) e gli assets che possiedo sui vari giochi #Play2Earn che girano su Hive, come Splinterlands, Serfdom&Sorcery, WrestlingOrganizationOnline e Muterra.

Se contassi ogni singolo centesimo non sarei sorpreso di arrivare oltre quota 2000 dollari... e partendo da zero direi che è un qualcosa di semplicemente assurdo.

Quale altra piattaforma al mondo consente ad una persona normale, senza alcun talento particolare per la scrittura e con nessun follower, di guadagnare 2000 dollari in un anno semplicemente scrivendo di ciò che le piace e stringendo rapporti con persone dagli interessi simili?

In questo anno non ho dovuto fare niente di noioso o ripetitivo (a parte giocare a Splinterlands forse 😂), non ho dovuto "sforzarmi" di fare cose che non mi andavano: ho solo organizzato il mio tempo in modo da avere nell'arco di una intera settimana 6-7 ore da dedicare ad Hive, distribuite nei momenti in cui mi tornava più comodo, ed ho poi rispettato con costanza ed impegno questa tabella di marcia, adeguandola ogni settimana agli altri impegni che la vita quotidiana mi poneva davanti (a cominciare da un lavoro a tempo pieno, che di energie e tempo se ne porta via a tonnellate).

Con solo questo e niente più, su Hive mi è stato possibile costruire qualcosa che da nessuna altra parte avrei potuto fare.

Il mio tempo, le mie energie ed il mio impegno hanno dato dei frutti tangibili sotto forma di legami con persone vere - il parlarsi da dietro uno schermo non rende ciascuno di noi meno vero - e di guadagni reali: non qualcosa dotato di un valore solo teorico, ma un token scambiabile in ogni momento con denaro reale e spendibile nella vita di tutti i giorni.

Quando rifletto su tutto ciò mi sembra quasi impossibile che il mondo intero non tenga gli occhi puntati su Hive: se le persone ragionassero più con la loro mente, si informassero e seguissero meno le mode del momento o i consigli di persone che hanno a cuore solo i propri interessi, Hive sarebbe sommersa ogni giorni di nuovi utenti da ogni angolo del mondo.

Hive è un social all'avanguardia (testo, video, immagini, microblogging, non manca nulla), una piattaforma di trading (DEXs, Liquidity Pools, Savings) e gaming (Splinterlands, per citare il più famoso, e decine di altri giochi, che spaziano dagli RPG agli FPS, passando per i Farming e i TCG), con commissioni gratuite e pressocchè istantanee... e molto altro viene continuamente sviluppato per arricchire sempre più questa chain e renderla ancora più versatile, potente, flessibile e veloce.

Ultimamente si parla di everything app (cough cough Twitter cough cough) e mi fa sorridere pensare che Hive è già da anni l'app universale... e praticamente nessuno se ne è ancora accorto! Chissà se prima o poi il mondo si sveglierà e noi precursori potremo sorridere al pensiero di come il viaggio di Hive sia finalmente appena iniziato.
