I'm a Top 50 GIFU Hodler (on Hive Engine)! Another Good Arbitrage for 25 HIVE and 100.000 GIFU

It has been a few months since my last post about GIFU, a meme token that originated on the Binance Smart Chain and later made its way to Hive—more specifically, to Hive-Engine, Hive’s layer 2.

Back then, I took advantage of a price difference for the token between the two chains to execute an arbitrage, buying the token on the chain where it was cheaper and selling it on the chain where it was more expensive.

Thanks to that trade, I increased my GIFU holdings by 150,000 tokens and also earned some Hive.

Since then, I hadn’t noticed any more opportunities... but I never stopped keeping an eye on this token!

And just a couple of days ago, my patience paid off: while checking the GIFU price, I noticed a discrepancy between its value on Binance Smart Chain and its Hive-Engine counterpart.

I ran some calculations and decided to go for it, moving a large amount of GIFU—over 2 million!—from Hive-Engine to BSC.

Once they arrived at their destination, I sold all that GIFU in exchange for 0.23 BNB, which I then brought back to Hive, converting it into HIVE using the StealthEx platform.

Last time, I used SimpleSwap, and it worked well for me, but StealthEx offered a better BNB-to-HIVE exchange rate this time, so I decided to try this new option.

Using centralized bridges is always a risk, but I’m not aware of any decentralized bridges that allow transfers from Binance Smart Chain to Hive. So, if I want to complete these arbitrage trades, I don’t have much of a choice.

Once back on Hive, I used 76 HIVE to purchase 300,000 GIFU, which are now safely stored in my wallet...

...placing me in 47th position among users with the most GIFU.

To be precise, the ranking only includes those who hold GIFU on Hive-Engine, without considering users who own the token on Binance Smart Chain. If those were included, I would definitely fall out of the top 50... but just being on the list, even if only on Hive, is still a nice achievement!

Additionally, 300,000 GIFU increases the upvote I can receive from the @gifufaithful account when I publish a post. Getting a few extra upvotes is always appreciated, and this is a bonus that makes me like this token even more!

Through my swap on Binance Smart Chain, carried out on the DEX PancakeSwap, I also contributed to reduce the total GIFU supply. Every swap on this chain incurs a fee—1%, I believe, though I’m not entirely sure—which is immediately burned, making the token increasingly scarce.

My ambition would be to eventually own a million GIFUs, but there is still a long way to go.... although a bit shorter than before :)

Sono nella Top 50 dei GIFU Hodlers (su Hive Engine)! Un Altro Buon Arbitraggio per 25 HIVE e 100.000 GIFU

E' passato qualche mese dal mio ultimo post su GIFU, un meme token nato sulla Binance Smart Chain e poi arrivato anche qui su Hive - e più precisamente su Hive-Engine, il layer 2 di Hive.

All'epoca avevo sfruttato una differenza nel prezzo del token tra le due chain per compiere un'operazione di arbitraggio, acquistando il token sulla chain dove il prezzo era inferiore per poi rivenderlo sulla chain dove il prezzo era maggiore.

Grazie a quella operazione avevo aumentato i miei GIFU di 150.000 token, oltre a guadagnare un po' di Hive.

Da allora poi non avevo notato altre opportunità... ma non ho mai smesso di tenere d'occhio questo token!

Ed ecco che un paio di giorni fa la mia pazienza è stata ripagata: controllando il prezzo di GIFU ho infatti notato una discrepanza tra il prezzo di GIFU sulla Binance Smart Chain rispetto alla sua controparte di Hive-Engine.

Mi sono fatto qualche calcolo e poi mi sono buttato, muovendo una grossa quantità di GIFU - oltre 2 milioni! - da Hive-Engine su BSC.

Una volta arrivati a destinazione ho venduto tutti quei GIFU in cambio di 0.23 BNB, che poi ho riportato su Hive, convertendoli in HIVE, grazie alla piattaforma StealthEx.

La scorsa volta avevo usato SimpleSwap, e mi ero trovato anche bene, ma StealthEx mi offriva un tasso di conversione BNB-HIVE più conveniente, per cui ho voluto provare questa nuova opzione.

Servirsi di bridge centralizzati è sempre un rischio, ma non conosco brige decentralizzati che consentano di spostarsi dalla Binance Smart Chain ad Hive, per cui la mia è un po' una scelta obbligata, se voglio completare queste operazioni di arbitraggio.

Una volta tornato su Hive ho utilizzato 76 HIVE per acquistare 300.000 GIFU, che adesso si trovano al sicuro nel mio wallet...

... e mi consentono di occupare la 47esima posizione tra gli utenti con più GIFU.

In realtà, per essere più precisi, la classifica riguarda solo coloro che detengono GIFU si Hive-Engine, mentre non considera tutti coloro che possiedono il token sulla Binance Smart Chain. Se considerassimo anche questi utenti sicuramente uscirei fuori dalla top 50... ma già esserlo anche solo su Hive è comunque una bella soddisfazione!

300.000 GIFU, inoltre, incrementano l'upvote che posso ottenere dall'account @gifufaithful quando pubblico un post: ricevere qualche upvote in più è sempre gradito ed è questo un bonus che mi fa apprezzare ancora di più questo token!

Tramite il mio swap sulla Binance Smart Chain, effettuato sul dex PancakeSwap, ho anche contribuito a diminuire la supply totale di GIFU, dato che ogni swap effettuato su questa chain è soggetto ad una fee - dell'1% mi pare, ma non sono sicuro - che viene immediatamente bruciata, rendendo il token sempre più scarso.

La mia ambizione sarebbe quella di arrivare a possedere un milione di GIFU, ma la strada è ancora bella lunga... anche se un po' meno di prima :)
