How to set Brave as default browser on iOS (to increase BAT earnings)

One of the new features in iOS 14 allows users to change default web browser and email client apps. With the latest Brave update, it is now possible to use the Brave browser as a replacement for Safari.

The latest version of Brave Browser available on the App Store allows you to replace Safari as the default browser on iOS 14. I remember that, to take advantage of this feature, developers of web browsers and email clients for iPhone and iPad need to update their apps with the necessary APIs.

How to set Brave as the default browser on iPhone

Here are the steps to follow:

(The photos below are written in Italian because I am Italian, but I think you understand the same if you speak another language)

1. Make sure you have iOS 14
2. Download the latest version of Brave available on the App Store
3. Open Settings on iOS and click on Brave from the list below (or look for it in the appropriate box)
4. Click on Apps for the default browser

5. Select Brave Browser

Once Brave is set as your default browser, when you tap on a web link from any other app (be it Mail, WhatsApp or other), iOS 14 will no longer open Safari but Brave.

If you change your mind, all you have to do is go back to Settings> Brave> App for the default browser and select Safari again. If you want to use a third-party browser other than Brave, you will have to wait for the developer to update his app (for example, you can select Chrome). The same goes for email apps too, as none of them currently support this feature to replace Mail as the default client.

The method described in the article is very simple, the idea is that, by opening every single page ALWAYS with Brave, we will always receive rewards through the Brave system. In short, it is a way like any other to increase your BAT income.
