Sunday Thoughts - I've been scammed and now?

I've been scammed and now?

Today I wanted to write about what it feels like to be a victim of a scam.
The other week they hacked the channel of a youtuber I have been following for years and whom I trusted, having shown that they deserve trust over time. This youtuber at one point uploaded a live, in which there was a direct streaming of the Ripple CEO and in a left panel a series of live transactions of the Ripple blockchain. In the description of the live it was written that a giveaway was taking place at a Ripple world event, in which by sending Ripples you would immediately receive back about twice what you had sent.

Until the other week, I was making fun of everyone who had fallen for the classic "send Ethereum here and other Etheruem will immediately go back to you" because they were obviously scams. But that video, that damned direct, was so perfect and it was transmitted by my trusted youtuber that, taken by the enthusiasm and need for money I had at the time, I did it. I sent 1200 XRP to that address and here is the proof of my transaction. Now, I've been stupid. I felt like an idiot the moment I realized that now I was also part of those fools who had fallen for it. I had also used many of my latest finances, having to not spend a whole week and live with what I had at home.

What did I learn? Never trust, get informed first of all and only after taking action. If I had been informed before, 5 minutes, I would have discovered on Ripple's twitter profile that no giveaway was in progress and that, moreover, the youtube channel had been hacked. I would never have done what I did.

What to do now? Take advantage of what I have learned and also remind you that it can happen to everyone to be scammed. Always inquire and never trust!

I conclude by saying that those who make scams in the crypto market ruin the image that the outside world has of us.
If you want to make donations, even just a few, to make me take back a minimum of what I have lost, I leave you my XRP address here at the bottom of the article. Obviously I don't expect anything, but you never know that someone moves in the community.
