Trading bot results and analysis of Maya/Kryll on past two weeks

By jeromebernard | Crypto Trading Bots | 17 Sep 2020

In my first article, I explained what Kryll provides for crypto trading bots, and in the previous one on how to run a bot strategy on ETH/USDT pair.

Before I start sharing the results, I'd like to remind you that Maya is a strategy doing swing trading and we shouldn't draw any conclusions before at least 3 to 6 months running it!

I've been running my first Maya strategy since late August, 31, so for a bit more than two weeks.
I launched another one with more USDT but right now, I'm gonna focus on the older one.

Before I display the results of this bot, I'm going to show you the orders placed by the bot.

One thing you should know is that this graph is a bit confusing as Buy (B) and Sell (S) orders are not with always full funds each time.
If Maya buys ETH from 15% of your available $USDT balance, it will simply be illustrated the same way that if Maya bought 100%.

This graph, though, give an idea of the performance.
When most of the time you see sell orders above buy orders, you can expect some profits, right? :)

Let's analyse the logs of this bot lines by lines:

2020-08-31 20:37:32 — Wallet 0 ETH, 204.95 USDT
2020-09-01 02:00:01 — Buy 100% ETH @ 433.79 USDT placed
2020-09-01 02:00:05 — Buy completed : Bought 0.4695 ETH @ 433.93 USDTWallet status: 0.46949 ETH, 1.0239 USDT
2020-09-01 17:10:27 — Sell 27.5% ETH @ 479.43 USDT placed
2020-09-01 17:10:30 — Sell completed : Sold 0.1292 ETH @ 479.09 USDTWallet status: 0.34029 ETH, 62.86 USDT
2020-09-02 02:36:11 — Sell 100% ETH @ 469.26 USDT placed
2020-09-02 02:36:12 — Sell completed : Sold 0.3399 ETH @ 467.44 USDTWallet status: 0.00038 ETH, 221.59 USDT

As I started with a full $USDT wallet, Maya waits for a good opportunity to buy (usually 100% buy).
This happened a few hours after the bot was started.
By 5pm the same day, Maya starts selling and take profits.
A few hours later, the next day, Maya sells all ETH.
So far we've made profits here: the initial amount was about 205 $USDT and ends up being 221.59 $USDT!

Let's continue with the next trades:

2020-09-02 13:09:40 — Buy 100% ETH @ 449.2 USDT placed
2020-09-02 13:09:40 — Buy completed : Bought 0.4883 ETH @ 450.46 USDTWallet status: 0.48865 ETH, 1.423 USDT
2020-09-02 16:50:33 — Sell 100% ETH @ 432.19 USDT placed
2020-09-02 16:50:34 — Sell completed : Sold 0.4872 ETH @ 431.33 USDTWallet status: 0.00149 ETH, 211.34 USDT
2020-09-02 16:50:40 — Buy 100% ETH @ 430.98 USDT placed
2020-09-02 16:50:41 — Buy completed : Bought 0.4865 ETH @ 431.9 USDTWallet status: 0.48796 ETH, 1.0231 USDT
2020-09-03 07:07:37 — Sell 100% ETH @ 432.05 USDT placed
2020-09-03 07:07:38 — Sell completed : Sold 0.4859 ETH @ 431.7 USDTWallet status: 0.00205 ETH, 210.58 USDT

The first buy order here is most likely placed in order to accumulate ETH, hoping ETH to rise later on. Turned out to be wrong!
Next, a weird thing happens: Maya sells all ETH (we went down from our previous $221.59 to $211.34) and does a 100% buy 7 seconds later!
Turns out that this was bad luck, as technical indicators gave a green light to buy.
Finally the ETH is in bear market and Maya sells those ETH and looses a bit less than $1 from previous buy.

Let's continue:

2020-09-05 14:37:43 — Buy 18% ETH @ 341.98 USDT placed
2020-09-05 14:37:44 — Buy completed : Bought 0.1101 ETH @ 342.14 USDTWallet status: 0.11215 ETH, 172.87 USDT
2020-09-10 03:35:08 — Buy 100% ETH @ 360.73 USDT placed
2020-09-10 03:35:08 — Buy completed : Bought 0.4751 ETH @ 361.53 USDTWallet status: 0.58726 ETH, 0.9339 USDT
2020-09-11 06:00:00 — Sell 100% ETH @ 357.05 USDT placed
2020-09-11 06:00:01 — Sell completed : Sold 0.5879 ETH @ 356.65 USDTWallet status: -0.00065 ETH, 210.4 USDT

Maya starts buying 18% and places another order 5 days later full ETH.
The next day, we're back in a bear market and Maya starts selling and ends up having almost the same of USDT than before those trades.

2020-09-12 20:04:21 — Buy 100% ETH @ 377.77 USDT placed
2020-09-12 20:04:23 — Buy completed : Bought 0.5545 ETH @ 377.84 USDTWallet status: 0.55381 ETH, 0.6957 USDT
2020-09-13 14:00:01 — Sell 100% ETH @ 372.04 USDT placed
2020-09-13 14:00:02 — Sell completed : Sold 0.5545 ETH @ 371.6 USDTWallet status: -0.00065 ETH, 206.53 USDT

Oops. We lost a bit on this trade: about $4.

2020-09-15 17:00:01 — Buy 100% ETH @ 364.31 USDT placed
2020-09-15 17:00:03 — Buy completed : Bought 0.5633 ETH @ 364.4 USDTWallet status: 0.56268 ETH, 1.0442 USDT

Last trade a bit less than two days ago turns out so far to be a good one, although I was wondering if a stop-loss was going to happen for quite a bit of time.

Even if Maya made a few bad trades, the end result turns out to be pretty good so far:

c75c541bf01ce484dd14982a9926463bda650ae1c719a272cdeb21cb40d25140.png

So what we see here is net profit of 10.51 $USDT over two weeks, from an initial amount of nearly 205 $USDT, so a +5.129% as seen on this picture.

Not bad for a bot running for about two weeks, especially when I would have lost $26 I had hodl those ETH!

If you are interested in using Kryll and potentially this Maya strategy, have a look a my last two articles (links on top of the page and in the resources section), especially as this could save you some fees!

In the next articles, I will talk about other strategies that I have launched more recently, but also portfolio diversification.

Let me know in the comments if you'd like me to cover some other topics as well!
