Portfolio diversification with crypto trading bots (continued)

By jeromebernard | Crypto Trading Bots | 19 Sep 2020

As I said yesterday in my last article, portfolio diversification matters!

In order to keep diversifying, I started three new bots recently.

I wanted to find a good ones for at least two pairs: DOT/BTC and XTZ/BTC.

DOT/BTC

DOT/BTC is a bit a tricky pair as its trading history is rather short.
Running back-tests (simulations of the bot on past history) may not be that conclusive.

The reason why I picked Polkadot (DOT) is first because I believe in this project, second because I did some initial development with Substrate (a blockchain factory used in order to run the Polkadot network), and last because I made some really good manual trades.

I decided to give a try to the Hulk strategy.
This is a day trading one and given the way DOT fluctuates, this might be a good pick.
We'll have to wait a bit until I can provide some meaningful results.

XTZ/BTC

I choose Tezos (XTZ) for two reasons: flexible staking on Binance and because I made some good trades manually a while back doubling my initial investment.

For this pair I choose the Gladiator Agressive strategy.

Like the DOT/BTC pair, both bots were launched a day ago, so again too soon to draw any conclusion.

THETA/BTC

I ran another ATTA strategy on this pair (see my previous article about LINK/BTC, ATOM/BTC and SXP/BTC pairs), as the developer of the ATTA strategy had achieved really good results on this pair :)

The bot was launched two hours ago, and no order placed yet, so I'll share results later on.

Recap

With those three new pairs I have now 9 bots running:

  • mixing short term strategies with mid-long term ones,
  • mixing bot strategies,
  • mixing tokens.

That's it for today!

Every Sunday, I'll give snapshots of all my bots running and their results, starting tomorrow.
