The name says it all. And, it is on the internet. That means it has to (not) be true!
Bill Gates, master of the universe and also reasonably successful tech nerd, announced his next move January 20, 2020, that he is getting into blockchain.
Gates, who has lit the world on fire with Microsoft, Windows, and X-Box, has perhaps offered the most meaningful and important innovation of our time; he's going to put Free Cell on the blockchain.
Anyone who has been around for a while remembers when it cost $3K+ for a high end 486. In today's terms, for all you Millennials, that would be like spending $7K for your iPhone. Everyone believed they had to have a personal computer. None of us were really certain why we needed them yet. One thing that sealed the deal, was a free card game installed on every Windows computer.
While we were supposed to be writing term papers or writing reports for businesses, many of us were plowing furiously through one hand after the next of Free Cell.
Gates' crowning achievement, more advanced than Halo and more valuable than Internet Explorer, Free Cell will now live forever on the blockchain, and since it isn't true, I can pretty much place any level of importance on this innovation. So, in a top 10 list of important technology for the 2000's, Space X #9, Free Cell Blockchain #1.
