This post will be on the $ZK token airdrop from Polyhedra project. It was one of the projects that I had kept very high on my airdrop grind list last year. I kept projects like zkSync and Linea on tier1 and Polyhedra was on the next tier2.
I did a very high volume of transactions on zkBridge of Polyhedra and if you were following my posts last year you would have read my articles on Pandra NFT bridging campaign where you had to bridge the NFTs across several chains like BNB, Polygon, opBNB, Celo, Combo etc. On doing more than 30 transactions you got the much coveted legendary NFT and for doing lesser you got Epic, Rare or common. For getting the Legendary NFT you had to use at least 2 wallets as there was a limit on one NFT being minted once on a chain. Due to this I got 2 wallets eligible now for the Polyhedra airdrop.
Mixed Expectations from Polyhedra
When I was doing the Pandra NFT bridging campaigns I was was a bit uncertain as it seemed a very low key project that time which did not get a lot of attention from the popular Twitter influencers. I decided to go ahead with it as it meant interactions with several chains and projects and improving LayerZero airdrop eligibility as well.
Of the 2 wallets I used I spent $25 on the wallet where I got the Legendary NFT and $5 on the second wallet where I got a Rare NFT.

There was no news from Polyhedra for a many months so I lost track and stopped doing transactions on the app.
Recently when I heard abut the announcement of airdrop I saw a lot of FUD on crypto Twitter as the token eligibility check and claim was almost at the same time. Users were claiming that the project did a very unfair distribution that is why they did not want to disclose eligibility ahead of launch.
The day launch happened I was stuck at office away from my metamask so could not see my allocation but saw Twitter filled with hate messages with people complaining about getting 5 to 10 tokens on Ethereum so the claim was not even enough to cover the gas fee.
Now I was a bit worried as I was expecting a lot from Polyhedra and I had not received any big airdrops this year. I lost access to my Argent wallet so I missed out on a big allocation from $STRK as well.
Once I came home I saw on the airdrop claim page that 3 main criteria were number of bridges, Pandra NFTs and Gale points. I was covered in all 3 aspects as for getting the Legendary Pandra NFT I did all of it.
My main wallet allocation was 125 $ZK and second wallet got 35 $ZK so in total I had 160 $ZK which were worth about $544. This makes it the biggest airdrop I have got this year. If you read my previous blogs you would have seen my plan to make $1 million by end of this bull run and this was a much needed boost to get into the altcoins in my radar.

What do I plan to do with my $ZK tokens?
I see that the community is not very happy with airdrop but I think that does not always impact the price much as most of the people complaining about it do not hold much to sell.
I have also seen earlier with SEI, SUI, MANTA, STRK that despite the community being unhappy with airdrop the token performs well and holds strong.
I am definitely going to hold a portion of this airdrop long term but I need to decided by end of March which part if it I will sell so I can get some liquidity to buy some selected meme coins and AI based coins to update in my end of Month report.
Cheers,
Sam
