Over two years ago, I posted an article on finally reaching the premium level on FreeBitco.in. I described how I used my reward points acquired over several years to get FUN tokens.
For those unfamiliar with FreeBitcoin, it is a long-running faucet. Much of the site has to do with gambling, but I just concentrate on collecting satoshi from the faucet. They also send emails with a link to their Wheel of Fortune, which pays out satoshi, lottery tickets, reward points, and, if you are really lucky, some rarer prizes.
From my experience, the Wheel of Fortune pays out satoshi 33% of the time, reward points 33%, and lottery tickets 33%, the the remaining 1% for the other prizes.
The premium level of FreeBitcoin gives you Wheel of Fortune spins, cash back on some wagers, and, for higher premium levels, an increase in the daily interest paid on Bitcoin balances.
For me, the Wheel of Fortune (WoF) spins are the most valuable as I usually don't wager much. Right now (July 2025), the Wheel of Fortune is paying 8 satoshi (or 80 or 800, if you are lucky). At the 5000 FUN token level, you would get 8 WoF spins daily. With a 33% chance of winning satoshi, that means about 22 satoshi. Not a whole lot, but it does add up.
Collecting 2500 or 5000 FUN tokens by grinding through the hourly faucet was a real pain. I felt I had a good day if I collected more than 15 FUN tokens in a day.
Near the end of May 2025, I received an email from FreeBitcoin promoting the FUN Token Official Chat. This Telegram chat site rewards good posters with a Wheel of Fortune spinner (different from the FreeBitcoin WoF) that pays out FUN tokens. The prizes range from one FUN token to 100,000 FUN tokens. Random quizzes also appear in the chat.
There are also mini-games where FUN tokens can be wagered and won or lost.
From 30 May 2025 to 27 July 2025, I have accumulated over 4600 FUN tokens, almost enough the reach the second tier for FreeBitcoin Premium. In my case I would probably add them to the FUN tokens I have on FreeBitcoin to reach the next tier.
Most of my FUN token earnings have come from answering the random quizes. Everyone who clicks on the correct answer gets a Wheel of Fortune spin. The topics of the quizzes range from AI and blockchain technology to economics and finance.
The FUN Token Official Chat also offers automatic staking of your FUN tokens. The current APY (27 June 2025) is 4.78%. However, it has been over 140% (!) in the last two months. I have received a lot of FUN tokens from staking on the chat site. So the possibility of earning more by leaving my FUN tokens on the chat site is very tempting.
