Web3 social media app Phaver - built on Lens Protocol - this week announced some exciting new updates to their platform, most notably the introduction of the new Phaver Cred system that is replacing the existing leveling system on the platform.
Previously, Phaver users could only reach level 2 through a handful of means, such as connecting a highly-coveted Lens profile, earning a Clique Phaver soulbound token, or trading in points for a shot of being approved as a 'fren' directly on the app. Now, levels (including more past level 2) will be reassessed on a rolling basis, with users given the opportunity to earn 'cred' for their interactions with the app each day (in a 30-day period), PLUS what relevant NFTs or other digital assets users hold in their connected wallets. As users level up, there will be more opportunities to qualify for airdrops and win other rewards, as well as the ability to trade in points for the upcoming Phaver token.

Here's a look at some of the NFTs and other digital assets that appear to be helpful for Phaver users to acquire to maximize their 'cred' earnings:
- NFTs with financial value. There's a list available on the Phaver app as well as in their help center, and more qualifying collections are being added as time goes on.
- 'Credible' (including soulbound) tokens. The current list includes the Clique SBT, the DegenScore Beacon, and the Galxe Passport.
- 'Achievements' including various OATs and W3STs. (Coming soon.) In my app, I can see my Kleoverse Proof-of-Talent / Proof-of-Ownership (Twitter badge) is already loaded. I'm hoping perhaps other OATs offered by Phaver partners such as Kleoverse will qualify in the future, too.
I originally joined Phaver as there was speculation that another round of Lens Protocol profiles might be airdropping for top Phaver users in the near future. But I am also enjoying the app for it's own merits, and I'm excited to see how this new Phaver Cred system rolls out.
