Amount in circulation questions

What is a good total number? I feel like 84 mil is better for a potentially international banking organization. In reality tho, the number is arbitrary as long as it isn't too big. Maintaining liquidity is key to my idea, obviously. Could it be done with just one coin split up into pieces? Any other ideas? I might add to this in the comments.
