Hello Splinterlands Community! Another season is over and a new has just begun. It's time to contemplate on what have we done. Sorry for rephrasing John Lennon's song but previously EOS is like Christmas Eve to me. I was like a kid impatiently counting down the seconds to open several gift boxes when the timer is over. I usually get forty plus chests from Silver League.

This season is different however. Instead of reward chests, we are earning the new token Glint. We can use this token to purchase items from the reward shop. Among them are draws that is similar to reward chests.
It may just be psychology or my way of thinking but now I feel like Scrooge miserly counting Glints and thinking how to spend them or maybe--not spend them just yet.

Indeed I spent Glint before to try the new rewards but I feel that they are too expensive. Others feel the same way and voiced concern to the team and it seems they have listened.

As posted by Yabapmatt, two items that they are considering relate to increasing Glint earnings per battle and adjusting (I hope this means reducing) the cost of shop items. With this in mind, the inner Scrooge in me suppressed the impatient child and decided to save my Glints for later use.
There are a lot of contrasting opinions on the Glint rewards system, good or bad it is here to stay.

For myself, I think the team believes this is good for the sustainability of the game. I personally liked that I now have a choice of rewards especially if the guaranteed rarity is implemented. I would definitely save my Glints for a guaranteed legendary pull.

Let me know your thoughts. Will you spend your EOS Glint rewards now? Comment down below.
Thanks for reading and have fun playing Splinterlands!
