Splinterlands Update - Play2earn inc passive income and staking opportunities

So I'm continuing my journey with Splinterlands. I'm still fairly new, but I'm getting there with it now. I'm starting to grow my account, my card deck and also my income generation.

Splinterlands is a trading card battle game on the Hive Blockchain. Its extremely popular, has a great community around it (discord, giveaways, lots of advice, etc) and also has considerable tokenomics.

There are quite a number of methods you can use to generate income in the game. I'm new to the game and am using the following (and I'm pretty sure there are lots more methods you can use):

Battling - which earn rewards,
Buying/owning cards - which gives a daily airdrop of SPS,
Renting cards which can earn you DEC,
Staking Splinterlands tokens on Hive Engine (SPS, DEC and SPT),
Staking any SPS earned within the game, via the games staking function which gives a massive 31.16% APY currently (!!)

You can also make gains in the card market from buying low and selling high - I'm not there yet on this one as I'm still growing my card base, but will begin looking into it at some point.

In summary, if you are looking for an extra income stream from play2earn gaming, then I'd highly recommend Splinterlands. The opportunities are quite incredible - oh, and its fun !
