Buck Rogers is another classic arcade port on the Commodore 64. This game is composed of two parts. In the first you fly around in your ship where you have to fly between pylons in order to clear the level, while also clearing the path from aliens.

As there is a timer in this game you want to fly as fast as you can. You can control your ship’s speed in the first part of the game by holding the joystick either up or down.

In the second part of the game you soar into space where you fight more alien ships, after which you’re presented with a large alien boss ship which you have to take out in order to proceed to the next level.

The game is fairly simple in concept though the controls can be a little fiddly. Even with the controls being the way they are, it’s still a fun game.
