Crypto Coin Battles in Play2Earn

What Would Happen If a Play-to-Earn Crypto Game Enabled a Dozen Different Cryptos?

By Eggy | Coin Optics | 18 Apr 2023

That's exactly what Mobox did with their game Chain Z Arena, where players have to choose a primary cryptocurrency for withdrawals and defaults. These games allow players to earn cryptocurrencies as they play, providing a fun and engaging way to enter the world of crypto. Mobox has taken this idea to the next level by allowing players to decide which coin to use as their default currency, which collectively can drive one coin to rise to the top.

One such game is Chain Z Arena, which is part of the Mobox platform. Players in this game must choose a primary cryptocurrency for withdrawals and default pricing, but can still deposit from a wide range of coins. Players can also price goods in the marketplace with any crypto they like, but buyers will always see the price in their default currency. The game supports a dozen different cryptocurrencies, including ETH, EOS, TRX, MATIC, SAND, BTC, LTC, BNB, HT, OKB, CRO, and ENJ.

Chain Z Arena is just one of several games by Mobox - a play-to-earn game that allows players to earn cryptocurrencies by collecting Hero cards, participating in challenges, and gathering idle-game style rewards, and trading higher-quality cards and in-game items in the open market.

And the winner is... TRX

The players on Mobox Chain Z Arena have overwhelmingly settled on TRX Tron as the default cryptocurrency, citing its speed of transactions and low fees. In chat, all prices are assumed to be in TRX unless otherwise specified. Even during the ups and downs of a normally volatile market, the use of TRX is fairly smooth for players. "TRX doesn't feel anything," a player commented recently when the market generally was topsy-turvey otherwise.

On the downside for TRX, Coinbase, one of the largest cryptocurrency exchanges, has not listed TRX (Tron) on its platform. This means that players on Mobox may have a harder time buying in or cashing out their earnings when they choose to do so. Additionally, Binance, another major exchange, is currently in the process of delisting TRX due to fears over SEC regulations. However, TRX barely seems to notice the marketplace jitters.

The rise of TRX as the coin of choice in Chain Z Arena shows the power of community-driven decision making in the crypto world. Players have come together to support TRX, creating a self-sustaining ecosystem within the game. While concerns about the future of TRX Tron remain, it doesn't look like it will be displaced as the default cryptocurrency in Chain Z Arena anytime soon.
