As an avid Fold Debit card user, I love it when the Fold Team releases updates and boy did they deliver this time! When I first started to use Fold it was back before they even had a debit card. The platform was rather simple that they had developed and that was you spun your daily Sats wheel and you could purchase a variety of electronic gift cards from them and get a certain percentage back in sats depending on the fit card.
As Fold grew so did their product offerings and when they announced their debit card I quickly joined the waitlist. Once I came off the list and was due to get my card I quickly decided to get the Spin + card and spent the $150 yearly membership for it. Honestly, it took me just a few weeks to already pay that back with how I used it. The key to stack your sats the quickest was to purchase gift cards from the app using your card and then spin to build upon the initial amount back. I also was moving to Washington, DC so the special 5% back at Amazon for Spin+ holders came in handy big time!
An issue that they did have though was if you spent the debit card on anything else there was the issue of you had no baseline percent back and had to spin for it which could vary from getting a set amount like 1,000 sats to spinning and hitting nothing or a whole Bitcoin. At the end of the year with the Holiday Wheel, this was addressed as you were guaranteed to get 1% back no matter what and then spun on top of that. If you were me and you bought a $50 Doordash gift card that gave back 7% and then got the additional 1% and then I would spin I was hitting 9%+ with ease! Sadly though this wheel left us and with it so did the base percentage. The wheel that replaced the Holiday Wheel had a 4% back offer so you could balance it out some but otherwise, it was tough.
Today though they launched their new wheel that has a HUGE twist with it! Those who have the free debit card have the option of either getting a flat 1% back or spinning the wheel. For Spin+ users, you chose between a 1.5% flat rate or the wheel! The wheel is a huge game of chance as you can see with the chart below! 
As you can see you have a 50% chance of getting nothing! Now luckily you can earn spins through the Fold AR section as well as holding money on your Fold card. This means that if you have a pretty large-sized purchase and plenty of spins you have a pretty good shot at getting this to work out for you otherwise it might not be worth it! While the reactions in the discord have been mixed I like this twist that Fold has thrown at us and like how it makes spins a much larger part of the deal!
The other thing that they offered was NEXT DAY FUNDING previously to fund your card for free it was through Plaid and could take up to 5 business days to refill your card which made you have to pay close attention to your Fold card level! When I signed up for it I was caught off guard by the app saying it would take 4-5 business days however when I asked about it I was told by staff that this was a temporary thing as not everyone will have access to the next day funding immediately so it would be best to send a test amount first and see if you met all the qualifications needed.
They are still going to continue to offer Flash Stacks which is great if you can catch one! Sometimes the dollar amount has priced me out of them but other times it serves as a great time to re-up on some gift card balances! The next feature that I am really looking at seeing is the instant debit card funding option and hope to see it sooner rather than later!
