This year we have seen a ton of different Bitcoin/crypto debit cards roll out. These have generally been very well received by those who are involved in the crypto realm as a way to easily accumulate more and more of a given crypto as rewards for using the cards. I personally use the Fold App Debit Card Premium and have loved it for buying gift cards that I could then use as with the inital reward plus what a person could spin it was pretty easy to get 9% back in Bitcoin. Some cards actually returned double digits before you used an extra spin.

One of the big drawbacks though that hurt utilizing the card on a daily basis was that there was only a single spin to get your reward. Some of those spins though do not give Bitcoin rewards or the rewards were less than 1% back. Now this has changed though! People that use the premium version of the debit card now on any purchase receive a 1% miumum amount back before the spin which is then added to the amount! This finally fixes the huge issue that was facing the card and allows me to utilize the card on a more regular basis. Individuals that have the free version automatically earn 0.25% back in Bitcoin before their spin.

GIven that Bitcoin has exploded upwards though in recent days it does discourage a bunch of everyday purchases as other credit cards I have offer pretty solid basic returns. However if/when Bitcoin has a pullback the card becomes much much more enticing to use! With this card in the last 10 months I have already been able to receive over $200 in Bitcoin! Easily paying for the premium average fee which was $150 and was paid in April of this year! While it might not be the biggest news for an app and card that primarily aimed at having people buy giftcards through it this is a pretty big change!
