Dusting off memories: The pink spectacle of Mexico's flamingos

With the great spring weather we're having around here, I've caught a bit of travel nostalgia. Diving into my hard drive, I stumbled upon these photos I took in Mexico a while back.

To be completely honest, I can't remember the exact spot (maybe somewhere in the Yucatan Peninsula, Ría Lagartos, or Celestún). Seeing so many of them together, I get the feeling I caught them right in the middle of a migration or getting ready to breed, which starts right around this time in April.

Either way, witnessing that endless sea of pink feathers in person was absolutely mind-blowing.
