The AMA today led to previews of Death and Earth Chaos Legion cards being revealed! Including 2 Summoners, 2 Legendaries, 2 Rares, 2 Epics, and a special, 0 Mana Death Legendary!

First, the new set will have TWO Legendaries of the main 5 Splinters, Fire, Water, Earth, Life, and Death. One of these legendaries from each set will be a 0 Mana legendary, with an ability that'll set it apart from the Chicken, and enhance the Splinter it is in.

Here is the preview of the art for the Death Legendary, which will cost 0 Mana. He appears to be some sort of Melee or Magic focused golem/monster. At zero mana, it's hard to imagine what he'll do, but I'm expecting maybe something like Scavenge or Leech, as it appears to be holding souls around its appendages.

But without further ado, lets start with the Death Previews

Silent Shavi

This is a Defender for the Death Splinter, protecting the world from Chaos Legion, who brings plague and chaos across the continents with Sila and Doctor Blight. He appears to be a large, demonic Snake. Because of his name, I believe he will have the abilities Silence and Poison, OR possibly Reach or Sneak. He looks like a lower mana, say, 3-5 cost card that will have some relation to Uraeus' lore. I imagine he will be a Melee card, probably with 1 Melee, and maybe 3-4 Health. Keep in mind these are entirely speculations on my part.

Why do I think this? Well, we don't really have a lot of low mana reach options for Death, and this one in particular would be a powerful combination for Owster, Contessa, AND Mimosa, if it had Reach + Silence!

Cursed Wendeku

Based off of the Wendigo, here is another Defender of the Death Splinter, the Cursed Wendeku. I am willing to bet this little guy will have Scavenge, and, if he is keeping with Wendigo mythology, most likely Camouflage making him a perfect monster to ramp up Scavenger on. Another option may be Opportunity. This would make him Death's new Scavenger card, an ability that isn't seen as much on Death cards as it should.

This would also be in-keeping with Death's focus on Sustain through things other than healing. I imagine his stats will be something along the lines of 1 Melee, 2/3 Speed, and 4/5 Health, and will likely cost 5 Mana, or more, depending on if it has the camouflage ability.

He's a creepy one for a defender though....

Thaddius Brood

The new Rare summoner Thaddius Brood, a Chaos Legion summoner, and one of the Invaders of Splinterlands! As a Rare Summoner, he will likely follow the other rare summoners before him, having 1 Ability and costing 3 Mana.

I believe that we are looking at one of three abilities for this little guy: +1 Magic, -1 Speed, or -1 HP. This is due to the mystic energy and magic oozing around him and his skull staff.

Finally, the Legendary, one of the Djinn, and the only Djinn who has betrayed the Splinterlands, and joined Chaos Legion: Djinn Muirat, the Death Djinn.

Djinn Muirat

Djinn Muirat is one of the Djinn, sworn to protect the Splinterlands from the Chaos Legion, except... Muirat has other plans, having joined the Chaos Legion for his love of Death and, well, Chaos.

Look at those boney, voodoo inspired fingers. This is a powerful, likely 8-10 mana monster similar to Oshannus, and may actually be Oshannus' arch enemy/counter. We shall see.

I believe he will almost certainly be a Magic attacker, and given his Voodoo affinity, I am expecting him to have an ability like Ressurrect or Retribution for SURE. I'm guessing he will be 2-3 Magic Damage, to stay under Oshannus' Forcefield Ability, and I believe he will also have something like Leech, Affliction, Cripple or Deathblow to really up the ante.

I'm guessing he will have about 7 or 8 health, and likely 1-2 Speed.
