Upgrading Dragons

Dragon Cards are of course, the 2nd I would want to go into for upgrades, as Dragon Splinters will allow you to capitalize on any element, and as such, are a useful set of optional cards for every Splinter. This guide will go over newcomer friendly cards that are affordable and useful. As such, it will not include things like super expensive legendaries, etc.

Keep in mind also that Dragon in particular is a very limited set, as such, there will be some expensive cards, and many will be highly situational.

This means that you can ignore these recommendations entirely, they are not necessary, rather, optional cards to upgrade. I am also not including summoners, which will be in their own article.

#1: Naga Brute

Naga%20Brute_lv1.png
The cheapest Dragon card, equipped with Void Armor, he is a powerful sponge that can shut down Magic heavy opponents for cheap. He's not going to win battles on his own, and he's highly situational, but this one card can shutdown Magic heavy Water squads quite easily. That, IMO is worth it when you see a guy with 5 Water Battles in a row. At Level 2 and 3, he gains +1 Armor and +1 Health, bringing his total health pool to 12. Not bad. He's especially valuable in No Melee matches as a discount Cube, essentially.

Costs: Level 2/3 Normal $3.50/1:10, Gold Foil: $4.5
Renting: Level 2/3 Normal: 0.73/0.75 DEC / day, Gold Foil: 2.95 DEC / day

#2: Gloridax Soldier

A Cheap tank with Shield and Flying, and another situational choice. At Level 2 he gains +1 HP and at Level 3 he gains +1 Melee, making him a more powerful threat to the opponent for 5 cost. He gets on the list for his solid pick as a powerful tank in Low Mana Earthquake rounds for ANY Splinter. He's also the next cheapest Dragon card!

Costs: Level 2/3 Normal $3.50/18, Gold Foil: $16
Renting: Level 2/3 Normal: 0.8/10 DEC / day, Gold Foil: 10 DEC / day

#3: Dragonling Bowman

At Level 2 he gains +1 HP, and at Level 3, he gains +1 Ranged, while expensive, he's a powerful backline attacker for relatively low mana.

Costs: Level 2/3 Normal $27/21, Gold Foil: $280
Renting: Level 2/3 Normal: 0.5/9 DEC / day, Gold Foil: 60 DEC / day

#4: Fire Spitter

So, Dragons get expensive quick, so these, while the 'best' for Newcomers, are very expensive compared to other Splinters. Forgive me for that, there's limited choices! Level 2 gives +1 Health. Since this is an Epic card, you only really need Level 2 initially. He is a powerful, fast ranged attacker for very low mana cost comparatively.

Costs: Level 2/3 Normal $24/20, Gold Foil: $140
Renting: Level 2/3 Normal: 5/20 DEC / day, Gold Foil: 34 DEC / day

#5: Manticore

Another Epic card, this one gets +1 Melee at Level 2, and with Reach, its a fast off-tank to have in Flying rounds, and when an off tank is needed but options are limited in Mid Mana.

Costs: Level 2 Normal $15, Gold Foil: $220
Renting: Level 2 Normal: 5 DEC / day, Gold Foil: 60 DEC / day
