Publish0x - Advice for New Authors

By Timmytushoes | CasualCrypto | 10 May 2021

Here's a small supplemental article to my Publish0x Series focused on general advice for new blogs and authors! I hope this helps somebody out! I decided to post these two articles on the same day, to benefit both new readers and posters as they find my blog!

Advice for Posters:

  • Post regularly, try to stick to a schedule, whether it is daily, weekly, or monthly. Make sure you're continually creating content and the consistency and quality will speak for itself and you WILL attract readers, slowly but surely over time. Persistence is always key. I believe that this will always always outpace the earnings of somebody who spams low quality articles.
  • Don't spam articles. You should be posting as regularly as possible, and if your blog necessitates a daily post, you certainly should, but do not feel that more articles necessarily means anymore tips. You receive tips for quality content, and people actively make that decision when they click on and read your articles. Giving yourself more time to create a higher quality post will inevitably net you more tips than a poor article will. For example, my most recent article was very rushed, you can find it here. I rushed it out because I believe the content would be more useful to any potential readers immediately rather than in a few weeks when the barrier to enter may already be too difficult. This decision reflects heavily in my views and tips for that article, which is a fraction of all of my other articles currently.
  • Vary your posting times. Like Social Media, there are peak hours for posting and you should be striving to post at different times to see when is the most popular time to post here on Publish0x. In my experience, going off of Eastern US time, posts tend to fair much better closer to night time then they do in the morning.
  • Try not to be too short or too long. There's a difficult balance with articles, and one that I will admit that I will often fail at. It's easy to create a short and succinct article, but you risk losing out on quality and not being informative enough or concentrated enough to really help the person reading your article. Likewise, it's ALSO very easy to create an article that's too long, which makes it difficult to find the info they need. Try to strike a happy medium, if you can split up a particularly complex topic into two posts, I recommend doing so to give your readers a nice, 3-5 minute read.
  • Link to your articles. Link to other articles. Create a network of posts that will allow people to find what they need. Using the Ambassador program, not only can you earn additional clicks, you are offering your reader a chance to stay connected and continually find new articles from your blog. This in general makes it easier to navigate a post. Have a tutorial series? Link each part at the end of each one! This benefits both you, and the reader.
  • Use your Ambassador Link. It's there for a reason! You can earn additional bonus tips by doing so.
  • If you're a new blog, like me, please comment with your blog. I am more than happy to follow you, and send a tip your way whenever I can! (Barring the 7 limit a day, of course!). If you enjoyed this article please send me a tip, or give me a follow! I'll do my best to give you great content for newcomers and give exposure to new entry points into crypto and NFTs!

Hey guys, thanks for reading this article, please tip and consider following if you like what I'm doing! I will strive to post at least weekly with new information and resources to utilize within the NFT and Crypto space. This information will be focused on a casual interaction between NFT and Crypto, with an interest in free, or micro-invested methods to get your foot into the door of owning these types of assets.

I would consider myself a casual crypto and NFT investor, with very limited experiences into each. I am focused on free, or very low capital investments, and finding and creating opportunities for others. I am a contracted graphic designer and artist.

CasualCrypto

This is a blog specifically focused on the 'casual' cryptocurrency or nft person, that is, someone who is either new, and rightfully cautious of the area, risk-averse investors, and others who'd simply like to experience NFTs, Cryptocurrency, etc. in a safe way, without having to blow the bank. This blog is for alternative crypto interests, more so for gamers, micro investors, artists, and other aspects of NFTs and Crypto that don't fall under the concept of investing.
