How to made a yummy Chinchin in your home
Ingredients:
- 2cups of flour,
- 1/2cup of sugar,
- 125g of margarine/butter,
- 1 teaspoon of salt,
- 1 teaspoon of baking powder(optional if you want it more crunchy),
- 1 tablespoon of nutmeg,
- 1 egg,
- 1/2cup of milk and
- 1teaspoon of vanilla extract.
Preparation:
Mix all the powdered ingredients (flour,salt,sugar,baking powder etc) into a big bowl, then add butter to give it a crumbling feel on the hand when it is mixed thoroughly. After that, mix all the liquids(egg,vanilla,milk) into another bowl...then,add the liquid to the powdered mix and mix until you form a soft dough(not too soft).
Keep in a container for 5-10mins. After 10mins,roll out the dough to your desired thickness(please note it doubles in size when frying) and cut to desired size/length.
Pour into the hot oil and keep stairing until it changes to a light brown color(the color deepens when it’s cooled). Remove from the oil and your yummy chinchin is readddyyy!!!!!
