BZE Code Audited by Oak Security

Security is important for BZE. Not just because it sounds good, but because the network needs to be safe, stable, and ready for long-term use. That is why we are happy to share that the BZE code has been audited by Oak Security.

The audit was done in two phases, and both reports are public here. We will not go too deep into technical details in this article. The reports are there for anyone who wants to read them.

The most important thing to know is this: The current BZE mainnet already includes the fixes from the audit. So the network running today is already using the audited and fixed code.

Keeping the audited code stable

After an audit, one of the most important things is not to keep changing the same code over and over again without a very good reason. That is why the audited code will stay as it is as much as possible. We will only modify it when it is really needed. Of course, BZE will continue to grow. But we want to do that in a careful way, without making unnecessary changes to parts of the code that are already reviewed and running on mainnet.

What comes next

The next BZE release will bring an important new feature: CosmWasm smart contracts. This means builders will be able to create and launch smart contracts directly in the BZE ecosystem. For the community, this is a big step. It opens the door for more tools, more apps, and more use cases to be built on top of BZE. We see this as one of the next important parts of the project. The base network is running, the audited fixes are already live, and now we can start opening more space for builders.

How other projects can use BZE Network

BZE Network is not only for BZE. Any project can use the chain almost like it is their own network. This can be a project issued directly on BZE, or a project from another chain connected through IBC. The main condition is simple: the project needs to have a strong liquidity pool with its token paired with BZE.

With that in place, the project can build its own UI on top of the BZE blockchain and let its users interact using only that project’s token. Users do not need to care about BZE, fees, swaps, or what happens in the background. They just use the app with the token they already know.

Behind the scenes, the project gets to use the features of a working network, with audited code already running on mainnet. And with CosmWasm smart contracts coming in the next release, projects will have even more flexibility. They will be able to build custom features, automate flows, and create more advanced tools around their own token and community.

This opens the door for other teams to build on BZE without having to launch and maintain their own chain. They can focus on their product, their users, and their token, while BZE provides the base layer.

A step forward for BZE

This audit is not the end of the work. It is another step in making BZE stronger and better prepared for what comes next. We want BZE to be a network that people can use, build on, and trust. That takes time. It also takes boring work sometimes: reviews, fixes, testing, and careful releases.

But this is the kind of work that matters. Thanks to Oak Security for the audit, and thanks to everyone in the BZE community who keeps supporting the project.

BZE keeps moving forward.
