Impressionable Experiences: Seeking The Inner Spirit: Da, Da, Do, Da

Seeking The Inner Spirit

"Da, Da, Do, Da"

2000

Looking at the jukebox,

Lonesome in a pizza parlor,

Checking out the songs.

They're all old now,

A decade gone by,

Can it truly be, oh my!

Life trudges forward,

Seeing Wilson Phillips,

And hearing Madonna's Spanish Eyes.

Waiting for Sinead,

And remembering her hair.

Bette will finish it off,

Oh how time pushes on.

Many lost days and those,

Memories they pour away.

Major cognitive association,

Ushering in a new generation,

So much feels lost,

And little has been accomplished.

There were so many hopes,

And a lot of dreams,

Nothing has come about,

But yet another crossroads,

The future looks less promising,

Quickly becoming present.

Where is every thing?

Is this all that shall be?

If this is so,

Then release me,

Release me from my foe.

For nothing compares to,

Wind beneath my wings,

My eyes are not Spanish,

For I can only understand,

A universe of English.
