"The Dance That Said Good-Bye"

One night I saw this dance,

Fate's hand had led me to this chance.

She wore only white,

It was so pure and bright,

Love's passionate true light.

This dance it was dedicated,

To the mother who had recently departed.

Her daughter has been a true guide,

A woman aging into grace,

As her costume flutters toward heaven's place.

Oh the love I have witnessed,

Oh the love I have experienced,

Unselfishly given to young girls,

Who one day grow into women.

The show shall always go on in style,

As always she held her steady smile,

Despite the sadness with in her own child.

Tall she stood floating with the angels,

And though I could barely see through my tears,

An ageless love bled through my heart's fears.

And so this dance shall always be remembered,

Right here, and through forever all the years.
