If we were meant to work, we'd be more motivated to do so.

We like to work towards things that we enjoy or interest us.

We aren't accustomed to working for 40 to 60 hours a week doing mind-numbing garbage to enrich someone else.

I went on holiday for 3 years and it became giga boring. I am back in the wage cage, I guess, for a year or two until I want to rope myself again.

Everything gets boring. Got to switch it up.

Work is the natural human state. If this was millions of years ago, you would have to build your own shelter, hunt for your own food, etc. If you hope to survive, no tribe would drag around deadweight that didn't contribute to the survival and betterment of the group.
