Hamster Kombat, a crypto-adjacent video-game launched by crypto-friendly social messaging app Telegram, accidentally beat a YouTube record.

I was doing some research for another article and discovered that the Hamster Kombat YouTube channel has set a record for the most subscribers gained in a week.

Although I should point out that they used paid promotion to achieve that.

But still, pretty impressive.

The channel reached 11.5 million subscribers in a week, between May 27 and June 2 this year.

At the time of writing, the YouTube channel has 32.7 million subs.
