Splinterlands: Playing with more staked SPS for more rewards.
I restarted playing Splinterlands from the start of the month of January 2025, and I am now fairly active in the game, never letting my energy bar to 50 till now. Enjoyed my reward chest and at in one case, gone for the legendary chest to get 4 legendary from the chest. But when I am in hibernation, I was delegating my SPS through the Peakmonster rental market. (Though I did a poor job here as SPS delegation do not expire on their own until you remove delegation, since I am not active I was not even monitoring them also ). Delegating the SPS yield the payment to me in DEC and this DEC payment is in the top of rewards that I am getting for staking SPS.
At current, market is paying 0.007 DEC per SPS delegated for the period of the 7 days, and current DEC price is $0.0006968 in the market, and let roundoff it to $0.0007 for ease of the calculation and it is not much of difference also. Current price of the SPS is $.0064 . By doing the maths, at current scenario , 1 SPS = 9.15 DEC.

As you will notice I have more than 346000 SPS staked on my account and have incoming delegation approximately of 23700 DEC, that is now close to 380000 staked SPS to take part in ranked battle.
If I delegate 345000 of staked SPS, my "Glint Boost" in the ranked battle come close to "6" but if I do not delegate my staked SPS , my "Glint boost" is 13. So my earning potential of getting SPS and Glint per match win is now 2.16.
Delegating 345000 staked SPS for 7 days will simply yield (345000*.007) 2415 DEC . If we remove 5% of market fees in this transaction, I will finally get 2294 of DEC.
Now check my SPS earned by battles in a day, it come close to 83 SPS. Since factor is 2.16, so if I have delegated SPS then my SPS earning from ranked battles will be 83/2.16 = 39 SPS approx. So I simply get 44 SPS more in a day, that will equate to approximately 44*7 = 308 SPS in a week, let round it off to 300 SPS in a week.
Using SPS to DEC factor of 9.15, 300 SPS in a week will be equivalent to 300*9.15 = 2745 DEC.
Clearly I am making profit of 2745-2294 = 451 DEC.
Other Additional benefits.
On above calculation, I only showed the DEC gains, but there are additional benefit of not delegating SPS when you are yourself playing the account as you get GLINT for the ranked play, so I am earning more than twice GLINT that I will use to purchase more cards from the Splinterland's Rewards shop. So if you like to play for the long run, having more GLINT to buy cards and chest will definitely help. Also as I a earlier pointed SPS delegation do not get automatically removed, so it is manual work to remove delegation and redelegate after every 7 days and in this process you are always going to some yours even if you are daily player in some case may be a day as you might not in system to do the manual work when delegation expires.
Can it be generalized for everyone?
Whatever I calculated above, it show me that it is giving me benefit, but one need to calculate for it's own account by checking "GLINT" boost on specific account. If your GLINT boost is not changing much, then it can be case you will be earning more in terms of DEC but ofcourse you will still earn more GLINT.

I have also reached the Diamond league of this season by reaching Diamond 3 league, So without much text , I will share the screenshot to check on my rewards.
