Sobota zimna, wietrzna i deszczowa
If it weren't for the abundance of greenery and flowers, I'd have thought it was November, as the weather today was very reminiscent of November. Heavy rain in the morning, followed by heavy wind and clouds, and a temperature around 12 degrees Celsius (52 degrees Fahrenheit) didn't exactly inspire optimism.
Gdyby nie tyle zieleni i kwiatów, pomyślałbym że to listopad, bo aura ten okres bardzo dzisiaj przypominała. Rano obfite opady, potem dużo wiatru i chmur i temperatura w okolicy 12 stopni nie napawały optymizmem.
Despite the unfavorable weather, the walk was a success, as I found myself in a fairly wide window of opportunity without rain. There weren't many walkers in the park, so I was able to relax and unwind. The latter is very important to me, as I've had a 1.5-year-old granddaughter on my mind for the past few days, and she can be quite tiring.
Mimo nieciekawej pogody spacer się udał, bo trafiłem w dość rozległe okienko pogodowe, gdy nie padał deszcz. W parku nie było zbyt wielu spacerowiczów, dlatego mogłem się zrelaksować wyciszyć. A to drugie jest dla mnie bardzo ważne, bo mam od kilku dni na głowie 1,5 roczną wnuczkę, która potrafi skutecznie zamęczać.
The birds have been fed peanuts. The usual number of jackdaws, crows, and sparrows has arrived. No tits today. Maybe they'll show up tomorrow, or when the weather clears up a bit.
Ptaszki nakarmione orzeszkami. Przyleciały standardowo kawki, wrony i wróbelki. Zabrakło dzisiaj sikorek. Może pojawią się jutro, lub gdy się troch wypogodzi.
Everything in the park is blooming beautifully. After the heavy rain, all the scents have intensified, and despite the cold, you can feel the spring atmosphere. It's supposed to be warming up starting next week, so I think it'll finally feel like spring.
W parku wszystko pięknie kwitnie. Po obfitych opadach deszczu wszystkie zapachy się wzmogły, i mimo zimna czuć wiosenny klimat. Od przyszłego tygodnia ma być coraz cieplej, więc chyba zrobi się wreszcie wiosennie.
