Hello friends, I hope you are having a nice day. Today I want to share with you a somewhat different mechanic: Draw with me, where we will draw from the sketch to the final result of a vector illustration. In this case, it will be a small but evil voodoo bunny doll. How much evil will it have inside? Join me to draw along with relaxing lo-fi music.

We start with a bit of sketching. I am using my old sketchbook, which is somewhat deteriorated after so much time with me and the onslaught of watercolors and hundreds of doodles. Honestly, I am not a good draftsman at all, but the important thing is to have fun and achieve a result. Since we will vectorize this image, we do not need a neat finish, but we do need to correctly place all the parts of our drawing. A few minutes later, the sketch is ready, and we will take a photo of it.

We take our image to our favorite vector editing program. Although I am taking my first steps in Inkscape, I am still very attached to Adobe Illustrator, and the simple handling of line thicknesses is very useful for the style I am looking for. The first thing will be to do all the lineart. Actually, this step depends on your style, but personally, I like everything to have thick dark lines.

With our lineart ready, we just need to choose our color palette. Since I start with an illustration, I always imagine what colors I will use. Focusing on a palette of few colors is very useful for making solid illustrations and not wasting time manually choosing colors. Lately, I have been using this website Color Hunt - Color Palettes for Designers and Artists, which has hundreds of pre-made palettes. I decided to use a pink palette with its complementary green, which I think goes very well with the drawing style. A few shadows later, everything is ready, and the final result, which I hope you like.
