My first post on my first blog. That is something indeed, it could be the start of an interesting tale or I might forget about this in 2 weeks, time will tell..
Day 30+
I am still unsure if I will post this anywhere for a long time, if at all. For now I would like to use this to document my experience into Cryptocurrency trading for the very first time in 2020. So far my experience has been a wild ride, I think I opened my account on Coinspot and created a MetaMask wallet shortly after in May not really knowing what I was doing. I had been hooked into the ESH/GHOST buildup to the airdrop, I will explain in detail as the blog progresses but you could say I FOMO'd in. However at the time of writing its still a bumpy ride. I reside in Australia, that is as much detail as I'll go into my whereabouts or identity, this is anons first crypto after all. Thus I constantly work converting between AUD/USD/ETH etc I will try to document using USD as the main currency, however forgive any mistakes as all of my charts/wallets are native. I will continue to build on how I format this blog, ei content and relevance, however I will quickly try to sum up the last month or so whilst its still somewhat fresh in the mind.
- Started learning about boomer stocks during the initial covid lockdown, finding myself leaning towards averaging my investments to negate any possible uncertainty we might see in the coming 1-2 years.
- Quickly found a few YouTube channels that proved useful in aiding my learning, a few mentioned different Cryptocurrency holdings that peaked my interest.
- Found very interesting differences between online crypto communities IE /biz/, reddit, twitter and telegram, I'm sure I'm missing out on a few however I'm still new to this remember.
- Early investigation of stock trading and analysis was useful in understanding different ways to approach different aspects of trading and the good old hodl method.
- I use brave so I was familiar with BAT, I found their ad program was useful in showing me different avenues to invest or borrow different cryptocurrency's, I'm hoping to build capital from what I now consider a blatant gamble on some smallcap ERC tokens and utilize them later, as I was writing this I was shown a site for a wallet, I'll check it out after I finish writing this. (not sponsored in anyway just find their browser useful and its the only way I can stand ads)
- The long story short of my first acquisition is accumulating 436 ESH Tokens prior to the air drop (I might write full post about that because it was insane) in the end between $2.22 - $2.55 over the course of the week, unfortunately I very quickly experienced my first dump.
- I never sold though, Hodl'd the whole way and I woke up this morning 8/6 PST and it had finally broken $1.00USD which on my phone looks even better so that was a massive relief.
- So my first experience was, buying the ETH, making a MetaMask wallet learning how on gods earth to send it safely without having a heart attack, learning what SLIPPAGE is while becoming acquainted with Uniswap all in one day before finally buying the ESH only to be dumped on maybe a day after my final purchase.
- Things got better from there luckily, its been a month and I have diversified however I actually did my due diligence this time and pull my hair out watching charts for a while before buying anything. I won't give away my entire portfolio in one post, that might be a good way to help me start to build this.
I'll leave this post here I might come back and edit it later depending on how I format further posts for continuities sake. I think this is a good start, it will definitely help out in terms of my own documentation, if somebody somehow finds this and ends up reading along then brilliant, I'm glad I entertained you enough to get to here. I expect I will either be very happy or very sad regarding GHOST so my next post will probably be interesting. To me at least.
