We have been pretty consistent with our criticism and skepticism around Ether and its legion of copycat cult chains and all the hypester disciples and charlatan grifters linked to Ethereum. That however, is clearly distinct from our very bullish long term outlook on the ideas and concepts of smart contracts, DeFi, GameFi, and all of the tools and opportunities linked to using crypto in numerous amazing ways. We just happen to emphatically support the idea that ETH is not the answer nor are any of its borderline scammy chains that suck value from it while trashing it yet needing it to survive.
Which brings us to Tezos. There is a need. Humans will adopt and evolve, and this leads directly to the need to upgrade seamlessly (and this will be huge with DAOs). Humans want to earn and take ownership control if they can, and many more will be enlightened by the very concept that they can own and earn rather than just living as a slave to the system. All makes sense. In fact, we continue to stand by the prediction that 5 or 10 years from now there will be maybe as many as 3-5 Layer 1 chains/tokens that are actually useful and worthwhile. Bitcoin clearly is and will be #1. Will Tezos jump in there and be something the world has and uses for a very long time? We believe so.
