Are You a Whale… or Just Chasing One?

Hey—how are you investing?

Real question…
Are you a whale?

And before you answer that too fast, let’s slow it down for a second. Because a lot of people hear that word and instantly think, “Yeah, I want to be that.” Big money. Big moves. Big power. But do you actually understand what a whale is?

In investing, a whale is someone with serious weight—mass capital, deep pockets, influence. It could be a wealthy individual, a hedge fund, an institutional player. In crypto, it’s the person holding massive amounts of coins like Bitcoin or Ethereum. And when they move, the market feels it.

A big buy can push prices up. A big sell can send everything dropping. One move… and waves hit everyone else.

That’s power.

And let’s be honest—there’s something appealing about that. The idea of making a splash. Being seen. Being known. Having enough money to move things, control things, shift outcomes in your favor. Nobody’s blind to that. Money matters. Life keeps getting more expensive, and every year it feels like you need more just to breathe a little easier.

But here’s where it gets real…

Is that the whole game?

Because while everyone’s chasing being a whale in the market, I’ve got a different question for you:

Are you a whale in your own life?

Do you make a real impact where it actually counts?
In your relationships?
In your community?
In the way you show up for people?

Because making a splash in the market is one thing…
but making a wave in someone’s life? That’s different.

Somewhere along the way, it feels like everything became about chasing the dollar. And yeah, we need money—no one’s denying that. But if there’s something bigger at play here—call it purpose, call it creation, call it life—there’s no way we were put here just to stack numbers and call it a day.

We’re here for connection.

For impact.

For something that actually lasts beyond a transaction.

I want to be a whale too—but not just in my portfolio and not that power. I want to be a whale in how I live. I want to make a splash that reminds someone they’re not alone. That they’re seen. That they’re understood. Because let’s be real—most of us are just trying to figure it out. Working our jobs, budgeting our weeks, trying to enjoy life without drowning in it.

And that matters.

What also matters is intention.

I don’t want wealth to control people. I don’t want money to turn into power over others. I want it to give me control over my own life—my freedom, my peace, my ability to enjoy what I’ve worked for without stepping on someone else to get there.

So yeah, go after the money. Learn the market. Make your moves. Build something solid.

But ask yourself—how far are you willing to go to get it?

Are you willing to push others under just so you can stay above water?
Are you chasing power… or purpose?

Because being a whale isn’t just about making waves in the market. That’s the surface-level game .

The deeper game is how you move through life. The kind of energy you leave behind. The way people feel after they’ve crossed paths with you.

I’m trying to swim in deeper waters—where connection matters, where memories hold weight, where the impact I leave behind actually means something. Where when someone thinks of me, it doesn’t feel like pressure… it feels like presence. Like something good passed through their life.

Call it soft if you want. Call it different.

But no one drowns in that kind of energy.

They grow in it.

So invest, yes. Be smart. Build your wealth. Play the game.

But don’t forget—your mental health, your relationships, your humanity… that’s part of your portfolio too.

And in the end, the biggest splash you’ll ever make
won’t be in the market—

It’ll be in the lives you touched along the way.

Invest wisely. Not just your money… but in yourself.
