1 BTC Project - Go Mining

Full disclosure this is going to be more of a journal entry than my typical posts.

Its been a while since I started a new crypto play. My last two posts were low friction ways to earn money that I have used to purchase Bitcoin. I have tried two other "bitcoin miners" in the past. Alfa Pro and Bitcoin Miner. Both of these Apps were resounding failures. I have been looking for a third swing at the cloud mining space. It just seem so appealing.

I have also been looking for a new crypto pure play. My last two income apps were not crypto focused. Yes both Receipt Hog and Cambly are low friction ways to earn money. I just direct their incomes towards Bitcoin. I apologize for it being derivate. I do very much like Cambly as a side Hustle though. I have pulled $200 USD off of the site this month with little effort.

While watching PTC ads on Cointiply I came across an add for an app called Go Mining. The gimmick they've made NFTs that mining bitcoin. Not cloud mining, or off site mining, or even in app mining. The Non-Fungible Token mines the bitcoin. Goofy? Yes, very much so. Effective? We are going to find out.

A base NFT miner looks junky and runs 32.9 USDT. It has some neon and some rust. Its Anticipated ROI is 26% - I assume that an APY - but a higher Historical ROI of 38%. They pay out in GMT token, which backs your NFT or something. I am unsure but this feels like pixie dust.

The good news is with my medium rare side hustle of listening ESL students read power points I can use internet to but the NFT and not feel guilty about it. I am spending but thanks to the power of girl math. I made this money by barely doing anything while also at work at my real job, so its free! For the sake of tracking this fairly, and like I said in my post about Cambly I will count half of my spend towards my monthly spend.

This week from Cambly I received enough to cover the purchase of the purchase of a Go Mining NFT. So I thought I would take the Nestea plunge. Getting the money from Cambly to Go Mining was almost comically over complicated.

Purchase BTC with CAD in my Netcoins account

Send BTC from Netcoins to KuCoin account

Convert BTC to USDT on Kucoin

Pay the Go Mining invoice from my Kucoin account.

The good news is I managed to sweep out some Bitcoin from my Netcoins account which is now vacant. Those Sats are now generating interest in my Kucoin wallet.

I cannot say that purchasing was simple, but it does work. If I had some Tether handy this would have been smoother. To no one's surprise getting funds into the app works, getting funds out of the app is the important part. So now I own my first NFT and it looks decidedly cooler than I was expecting.

The Specifications:

There is an option to upgrade my NFT. I would guess I can do that by changing these pieces. If I am able to make a withdrawal, it is possible that I will upgrade my NFT in the future. As of now I won't be putting any other funds into this app.

There is an NFT game that works the same as Pi Network mining. Click a button once per day and get some sort of boost. One more daily crypto activity I guess.

The app itself is quite confusing. I have yet to see where the income lives. I hope this works out.

I am not yet convinced that Go Mining will work. I remain cautiously optimistic.
