I have to admit I have been cherry picking projects. I'm not a fan of sketchy apps. Or apps that are advertising on other apps. The circular nature of crypto advertisements is one of my biggest points of anxiety about the industry. It all feels like a house of cards built on a table also made of cards. Things like Cointiply's Paid To Click adds being 80% crypto casinos.
But I would not be providing anyone who bothers to read my blog any value if I only recommended the apps and platforms that everyone else is already using. I won't be taking undo risk but I need to branch out a bit in order to give advice on what to avoid, and hopefully find fertile ground.
All that to say is that I also want to provide some value. Maybe there is a diamond in the rough. I will never know if I tread only on safe terrain. I downloaded an app call, unoriginally and unironically, Bitcoin Mining. Nothing like picking a name that is absolutely un-google-able. I did not hold high hopes for Bitcoin Miner, especially when their first foot forward is a welcome screen with a typo.

I was not sure if I wanted to Get Start, but I did anyways
This is another log in once per day and earn app. Similar to Pi Network, but without the proprietary token. I actually like this method better. I don't think every project needs its own token, why not just use one that everyone knows. The inclusion of a proprietary token adds a layer of needed trust and Bitcoin was supposed to eliminate the need for that. When I see a native token, I assume a rug pull is coming. I have no problems with developers making money, which they can do with something built with Bitcoin, but altcoins make me feel like a pump and dump.
Unlike Pi, Bitcoin Miner lays out the withdraw schedule. After 90 24 hour mining cycles a withdrawal can take place. Bonuses are dolled out at 30 and 60 days to keep the miner interested. The rate is also not terrible. It equates to about $2 USDT per 30 days.
My thinking was that I logged into Pi Network for almost 2 years and have nothing to show for it. I can log into this one for 3 months and get some bitcoin.

I was pretty hopeful. I actually was up to 18 mining periods. So things were heading in the right direction. Its straight forward and no frills. So maybe it just works.
The referral code system is a little weird. They don't provide a custom link, but a URL to download and a referal code to type in.
The canned message they provide made me laugh as well.

Providing a tiny url is ridiculous to me. Talk about going out of your way to be sketchy.
In addition to being riddled with spelling mistakes and being sketchy, The Bitcoin Miner app is also quite unstable. Sporadically it will load incorrectly for a few days. This is unfortunate because the crashed app wont let you reset the mining clock.

This has been on my screen for two weeks now. I have yet to find a way to contact the developers to check in on this. I have run out of patience and will no longer be using this app. I am unsure if its a scam or not. It really isn't much of anything. Maybe it worked at one time, maybe it didn't. All I know is that it appears to be no longer working and their are hundreds of other "bitcoin mining" apps out there that may do a better job. Let me know if you find one.
I give Bitcoin Mining 0 stars. It just doesn't work. It has been kicked out of the line up and will not be added to my list of referrals.
